        yall whats the optimal frame rate for action/fighting animations I’m trying to make one and the effects are either too fast or too slow and idk what fps i should use to make that not happen :confusion:

          24 fps is the most optimal for most animations.

          Normally, most animators (including professionals of the past) uses 24fps.
          They also used these things called “twos and threes”.

              Also I either use 17 or 24. Mostly 17

                  Yeah, hurts like heck. It’s dedication though, you gotta have the patience to sit there for months just to come out with a 1 minute animation.

          there is no *best* framerate to use, it all depends on personal choices based on style and skills.

          around 15 can be considered smooth enough to convey motion, while also being good at not putting too much stress on the animator itself.
          24 is the usual standard for animation.
          30 is theoritically the requirement for “illusion of movement”, mainly used in movie production.
          60 fps, don’t ever use it for animation unless it is 3D graphics and you have broad understanding of animating and are fully and stylistically aware of what you’d go for.

          Lmao I haven’t animated since last Christmas…I kept it at default so 10fps…but I think imma try 24fps in the future
