You’re better off trying to design them less like a stickman and more like a character in a game, movie or story. By all means make a stickman, but try to do stuff that makes him more unique, like intricate patterns or lots of neat accessories. I don’t mean put a few triangles on his arms, i mean spend a good 30 minutes making him look truly personalised, so he’s yours and it’s easy to know he’s YOURS at a glance.
