Robots are made especially carefully to avoid aggressive tendancies, even warbots which are designed to follow very strict programming.
If you were found in possession of a robot that dangerous, you’d be certainly imprisoned for endangering the public.
However, as an assassin, maybe he just found a construction bot or something, modified it and simply avoids the law, hides around space pirate hideouts on Planet Emiv or the many asteroid mounted trading stations.The two could be like pals in a way, maybe as bounty hunters.
