Todays spotlights both have that “versus” thing going on.
First up we got the more comedic of the two which is Ralph VS Sean: The Final Battle by Various Pond. Various Pond always hassomething cool to offer and is always entertaining to watch. Highly recommend you go and check this one out. His animations are quite refreshing from the common SN animation.
http://sticknodes.com/spotlight/ralph-vs-sean-the-final-battle/Next up we have Rai and Volt vs Armagon by Raimondo Lukasha. This animation is a joint with Son Goku I think I remember. It really isn’t special on how it’s done but the animation is very nice. It just doesn’t carry any weight as the characters use the SN classic of throwing all of their powers at their enemy to defeat them. But it’s still definitely worth watching for the angles and animation alone.

Yeah. I gotta do a fix on that. Add more frames.

Yep. Pretty well it. The node limit is nearly decimated on this.

Believe it or not. Add Tweened Frame and Tweening are two different things. Tweening is pretty much overall just inbetween frames.
-The tweening system is adding frames inbetween keyframes in order to raise the playback FPS. This has no effect on speed.
-Add tweened frame is just a frame being added in between two frames. This effects the speed since playback FPS is not raised. -

I know how this works and I definitely agree. But what I meant was I thought there wasn’t tweening allowed. Only 20fps no tween?
-
Replying to:
Yeah you can add tweened Frames but you can’t use tweening
-
Replying to:
Did he use tweening? Or is his animation just hella smooth
-
Replying to:
It’s eb, I am sure that even if he didn’t use tween it would be hella smooth.

Ah. Ok, now that\’s clear. Well, anything that shows up in spotlight. So that includes the collabs that have shown up in the animation spotlight bar up top.
-
Replying to comment by:
Yeah, doing full on animations for a special is kinda hard work. So I\’d get that.

Collabs on spotlight? Not from what I know. I\’ve been a solo animator for quite a while now.

If you want, you could try. Low or high detail. Depends if you want to challenge yourself or not.

Todays spotlights are both short. It will be a pretty quick one.
First Spotlight is Special 6K|Raymond vs Lirk by Heckray Anims. To me this battle was a bit of a let down considering what you normally get from Heckray. But it was pretty decent with that incredible animation.
http://sticknodes.com/spotlight/special-6k-raymond-vs-lirk/Next up we got Tryout for NTM Series by Stick Fenix. I remember this one and was quite impressed by the fluidity of this guys animation. But looking back, this did have a bunch of flaws. But go on and vote.

I swear I’ve watched the 2nd one before…
Probably did.
i forgot what that first one was, clicked it, page loaded, closed it
the thing about those animations (second one now) that always gets me, looking back, those were pre-movieclip times
idk how you people had the patience *and* skill to pull off some of those tedious-ass loops of effects/background wind/etc but SGA is one of those dudes that did it a lot
Well, frame by frame effects aren’t too hard to do. It’s just making sure you change the frame of the effect each time. But yeah. It is quite time consuming, but not with the add tweened frame button.
This ones a damn classic. I love it. The animation is great, although sometimes the posing can get stiff. The dialogue is decent and the effects are great. Although it does have quite a few DBZ anim cliches. I give it a 7.5/10 (oh wait just realized they’re wearing scarves 0/10 HORRIBLE ANIMATION DISGUSTING)
Also the music was really epic
Music didn’t really pop out to me.
Yeah it wasn’t amazing but it at least serviced the animation
True.
