Yeah, he certainly goes into detail. But he did also say don’t mention him.

You aren’t wrong that you need help with shading for sure. I would start off by recommending that you don’t do too much for shading cause manually animating shading is pure hell. Even on the lighter stuff. But it ultimately is up to you if you want to push yourself. But you need to look at your environment and know what goes where in each different shot. The brightest light source should be what you decide to cast shadows off of for reference. Look at your environment at a 3 dimensional mindset and imagine the light and how it goes through the environment. Don’t just toss shadows down for added detail. Blur the shadows to create the cascade they create on their edges in real life.

I would tone the recoil down a lot. Subtle is better. Also don’t be afraid to center the gun a bit on the screen. Not fully centred but less to the right and just a bit more to the left. I would also gets some arms of some sort to work with maybe. But that is more or less a milestone that is big to cover. Movement I would say is decent though.

Made yet another character of the political scene in the NBC. Jozef, the assistant and co leader alongside Harper and his party. I really love how I set this shot up too by the way. The reflections and the government building down a hill just below the window with the city in the background looks just gorgeous, it’s gonna be even more gorgeous when I get it in 4K.

Yes, but bitrate on youtube is even higher than what I get out of MP4 exports on SN which is rather sad. That compression and artifacting is far less visible when it\’s in a higher resolution. Figures this out when screwing around with bitrate in Vegas. Stuff hands down ends up looking better when I compile a video externally than in the app even when brought onto youtube. Seen this video 300 times, I have a good idea of bit rate.

Your welcome and anytime. As long as you take time with stuff and put heart into your work, you will succeed in one way or another.

That a lightsaber? For a first figure, nice work. Solid and refined use of shapes and it isn\’t sloppy. Just a clean geometric style which is good for a start.

Something I technically have been experimenting with. Like the scratches here.

I thank you so much. I am now going to not render my frames at all until I get my hands on this. Gonna be able to push detail much more now without stuff just disappearing and my videos just being gangbanged by compression and overall noise.

I know it is much more complicated for MP4 since that requires some newer encoder or something. But for images it seems like every device is able render and export a 4K image. But I don\’t know anything beyond that. If you can, sweet. If you can\’t immediatly, that\’s fine.

@ralph Hear me out.
4k not MP4 but PNG export. This will allow me to compile frames of my shots into higher res videos through blender giving me both an upgrade in picture quality without mobile compression giving me a consistent reason to render my videos externally. And imagine the cool art potential with the added pixels. I\’ve been finding 1080p to not be enough with AA as some details like the eyes on one of my guys disappeared when exporting and I have the capability to run 4K through my computer so why not. PNGs are pretty light to run regardless and picture expectations today are atleast 4K so yeah. An easy add that would make me and the image people of SN very happy. Project Landfall with become super clear with all its details and compression becomes less of a concern when I am pushing the limits for detail. Plz-
4k machine broke
