I always feel like it’s my fault when I end up uploading a few “really good” figures together and now it’s not a guarantee to win a feature

Well. Can’t exactly say it’s your fault. People download more figures than one. Just it’s matter of which one they see is more useful to them. I figured this out. Especially with DBZ figures. They download ALL OF THEM.
You know what sucks even more? waiting. Just waiting….checking the site every morning and evening to see if your figure was uploaded. But it wasn’t. So you check the next day. And still nothing. And then it’s finally uploaded, and you’re happy, but the day passes and you realize you have nothing left to look forward to in life and you spiral into a deep pit of depression and end up not making another background for a few months…
I mean I don’t have that problem, obviously, but I’m sure someone else does…
