Imma ping u monthly like this in attempt to get featured if ur okay with that xd -
@ralph , in the future, can you make skins n stuff easier to apply or sonething lol. its fine if u dont feel like it, I dont really need a skin xd. Also, how do I make a submission for sticknodes spotlight?
-
traditionally, modding and skinning apps/games aren’t the most user-friendly experiences and usually require a little but of technical knowledge to achieve
in SN’s case it’s still pretty simple, just make a /skin/ folder and put in the files from a skin you downloaded/edited, can’t really get more simple than that lol
as for the spotlight, while you can always @ralph me and show me stuff, I usually just find them as I browse Youtube/twitter/the activity section here, etc, and “good” things that catch my eye get featured

@ralph
I have some questions about this new update that limits the size of projects we can open…
First question: If I can only open parts of an animation at one time, how am I supposed to export it?
Second Question: If I open the 2nd 50% of a project, add some frames, and then save it, will the first 50% still be there?
Thrid question:Is there a way to increase memory without spending money? Because I remember back when I could export 500 frame anims in 20 minutes, and noe I cant even OPEN 200 frame anims…-
well first, you’re only supposed to use the “open percentage” thing if you’re actually having trouble/crashing when opening the project
I really can’t explain it clearer so I hope you understand:
if you open a project 50% from the start and save it, then open that same project 50% from the end and save it, you have TWO NEW projects completely unrelated to each other and unrelated to the original full project
then you can export each one separately, and either upload them to Youtube separately, or splice them together with a video-editing app
–
as for your 500 frame comment, you likely have a relatively low-memory device
frames aren’t necessarily the cause of memory consumption, NODES are
aka a 20-frame project with a simple 10-node stickfigure on each frame is SMALLER IN MEMORY than a 1-frame project with a 256-stickfigure on the one frame
20×10 = 200
1×256 = 256you’re likely making animations with more complex figures now, so it’s eating up memory faster

Animation: first one is pretty good, second one is a little bit worse, and the third one is great
Figs: the backgrounds for one and two could have been a lot less terrible, but the third one was really good, except all of the characters were base figs.
Overall: B+
PLOT TWIST
IT WAS A WATERMELON
not even sure if that last one was SN what with the moving BG
I green screened it on top of the moving mp4 :v
