Are high flying acrobatic warriors profecient in martial arts, excellent sword masters who are also masters of stealth who are so good at staying hidden that no one even knew they were there in the first place boring?
Or we could have Japanese people listening to ‘important’ stuff.
Anything can sound boring if you boil it down enough, and almost anything sounds fun if you detail it enough
Knights are just sweaty men running around in shiny rock killing eachother
Swords are sharp shiny rock sticks

It’s probably simply because the pop culture Ninja is so popular.

It’s a casual mainstream representation. It’s not about being historically accurate, it’s mostly about being cool
Hell even Japanese games don’t market the tradition Japanese samurai, I mean, have you seen Samurai Showdown? Half them aren’t even samurai!
Even when the whole ‘Ninjas were actually just Japanese spies’ goes mainstreAm, we still gonna have stuff like TMNT, Naruto, Tenchu, Ninja Gaiden etc, etc. Hell if anything we might get a Hitman styled old timey stealth game out of the whole Japanese spy stuff.
Basically this series is less of a serious debate over which era would win, but more of a casual ‘what if?’ Scenario, that’s not very worried about being accurate.

I’m gonna **try** and get a Halloween fig done for the contest. After that I’m pretty much free, though I plan on finishing more KOF figures and making a couple more Naruto figures
