rap music can be good but in my experience, its only good because it’s catchy, and I’m fine with that unless you’re making stuff that is mysogynistic, violent, overly sexual etc.

it’s when stuff in the above parameters does that, promotes it, doesn’t speak up against it, and goes mainstream out of the bounds of soundcloud, that I have a problem with it, because then you’re just setting yourself up to want to do bad things and potentially become a criminal in the case of a lot of soundcloud rappers.

it’s why I typically don’t listen to rap because most of it just sounds the same and it’s really hard to find new good rap music because the public eats it up, and gets millions or billions of views on youtube so that they dwarf the good music.

music industry today likes to make money more than put out good music, and it’s sad.
