Going to attempt to remake my RHG for the fourth time.

Scratch that, second place is bad and first place is sooo much better.

It saddens me to this day that no one gets how Luke was portrayed in TLJ. Luke finds out about Kylo\’s force sensitivity, and when he goes to kill him but when he does you know who he sees? His father. Another jedi to \”Bring balance to the force!\” Even in the original trilogy there wa forshadowing to this, remember the scene where Luke hallucinates fighting vader and finds he is under the mask, because when you think about it, Luke is VERY similar to Anakin. A Jedi who was supposed to be revolutionary to Jedi history, who\’s legacy is one giant killing spree and I know what you\’re thinking \”Oh but it was just storm troopers! they don\’t have personalities thus no reason to care when you mercilessly mow them down! Besides IT WAS FOR THE GREATER GOOD!\” Ok now, for one: We don\’t know much about the storm troopers, for all we know they all could be having drinks after every successful mission, but uh, no movie explores on that but still! Just because you aren\’t told there personality doesn\’t mean they don\’t have one. The soldiers in WW1 and WW2 had no chance to meet the people on the other side, they had no chance to talk and learn about them. And you think the case isn\’t the same for factions in Star Wars? 2. There were more people on the Death star than just storm troopers, there were generals, officers, but more importantly POWs, which with last hope opening with the empire sieging a rebel ship, there definitely would be. And when they sneak into the death star they save only Leia. But you could argue \”The Rebels obviously evacuated the POWs when Luke was in the trench!\” Ok sure, fine, with such a big army it\’s definitely possilbe, but that doesn\’t excuse the Thousands maybe millions Luke blows up with no remorse. And 3. Luke doesn\’t feel that the \”It was for the greater good!\” holds up anymore. He feels as if people are trying to excuse his actions just because he\’s a hero and he throws himself into self doubt and pity. But then he meets Rey, a new Jedi wanting to bring justice to the galaxy. Knowing that she only won against Kylo the first time because he was heavily injured by a weapon that can destroy most ships in one shot (That being the wookie bowcaster) She seeks training from Luke, this legend, so she could put a stop to the FO. Luke thought he could redeem himself by training her, by guiding this new generation of the rebel resistance, and maybe see himself as the hero he really is. But hey, that\’s jsut an opinion!
