It’s kinda risky thing- I mean… If you haven’t noticed, on every app you save… There’s no cancel button. Ever. Why? Because it overwrites the project file. Meaning that if you would cancel it, it corrupts the file. Meaning that the project might be at risk of not opening ever again if it’s not overwritten fully again.

files are saved to a temp file first, then one valid and done, overwrite the existing file
