He only goes on Stick Nodes every 3-5 days
And even then it’s usually only for like, an hour.
I don’t even think he takes submissions anymore.

  • @toxic911 I had a character idea in my head for months now, and I was wondering about your thoughts about it

Ok, so I first asked Epitaph about this a LONNNNGGGG time ago, way back in summer, and I was hoping for a third opinion.

Her name is Alexia of France (Epitaph came up with the name)

She grew up in a small village in France around the revolutionary period. Her mother was an alchemist, not the magical potions kind, but the ‘turning metals into gold’ type, ya know, the ones that actually existed.

The mother got married to a banker. After a while the banker suggested that they’d use the false gold she made to get rich. The alchemist obliged and they became scam artists.

Once they got rich enough selling their fake gold, they started getting real gold, as their fake gold scheme was started to get detected real fast.

But the gold was running out, and since the alchemist was pregnant with the banker’s child, they had to find profits fast. They heard of a witch (I know I just kinda dismissed magic earlier BUT IT DOES EXIST HERE) that could grant them such power. The witch gave them the power to create not only real gold, but also the fake gold, which was considerably stronger than gold. The witch only asked for one thing in return, is that they’d take the witch back to the village with them. The couple found no reason to refuse, so they did. Once they got there, the witch conjured a high rock, and exposed the couple of their crimes. The witch summoned the towns-folk to chase after them. The witch told the couple that their family lines are cursed, and that their bodies will turn into solid gold over time. The witch disappeared in the mob, never to be seen again. The couple retreated into their mansion, the only reason they weren’t arrested is because the law in the town were corrupt, and accepted their bribes, aslong as they got the real gold of course.

After this event, the couple dedicated themselves to their daughter.

By the time Alexia was a teenager, the couple were partially golden, but had died of disease before they were turned into statues.

Realizing her fate, Alexia dedicated her life to restoring the name of her family, and making it a legacy to be remembered not in spite, but with joy.

She’d wear French revolutionary army like clothing, and wield gun swords, and suprisingly yes, gun swords were a thing IRL at that time. Like her parents, she’d have the ability to bend existing gold, and conjure the fake gold her mother forged, and real gold, although she uses the fake gold more than the real gold for combat reasons that should be obvious.

    So…..

    Whaddaya think?

    • Hmm. With the whole gold-creation thing, there are certainly a multitude of ways to go with this. There certainly is a way to go with Alexia as a main character of a story, but I’ve thought of a different perspective of a different story that she can participate in. If you’d like me to just give thoughts of her as a main character, I’ll do that, but hear out this idea.

Right off the bat, the fact alone that she can create real gold with ease is something to take advantage of. She can very quickly become rich and successful because of it. She can establish a trade empire of sorts because of the gold she can create, all the while doing legitimate business instead of fraudulent scams (because she seeks to clear her family’s name). Initially, she searches by herself to find a cure for her curse, and she makes new friends, connections, and enemies along the way. Honing her skills with her weapons, she soon becomes a skillful warrior.

As years pass, and parts of her body are slowly being affected by the curse, she decides to use some money to hire a team of mercenaries and bounty hunters to go out and find a cure for this curse. The story then focuses on these bounty hunters as they slowly bond with each other and Alexia, to a point of where they aren’t completely doing it for money. They encounter Alexia’s enemies of the past and fight with them, meet Alexia’s friends and gain more knowledge about here, all the sort. Eventually, they would find whereabouts on the witch who actually made the curse, and the story can go on from there. In that setting, Alexia could be a leader who occasionally fights and does jobs herself, but is employing these bounty hunters to find a cure for the curse, while slowly becoming attached to them. It’s unique in its own way, and it really could become something cool. That’s just my thoughts anyway.

So, if you want more of a story focusing on Alexia, I reccomend starting at when she seeks to clear her name and remove her curse. Starting her empire, meeting friends, fighting foes, it could really be interesting, particularly with the way she uses gold in her fights. If you’re looking for more of a side character who still can be really badass, the second part where she actually has her empire and employs the bounty hunters would be the place to go.

Overall, just my thoughts, but I really like the character. I see a lot of potential with it, and the revolutionary setting could really be cool. A funny quirk I think she could have is that she really doesn’t care about gold all that much since she can generate it so easily, which could be funny to watch with other characters reacting to that. Nice stuff dude!

    • Yes, fighting games are awesome (even though I only play Tekken but ey). When you get pass the button mashing, everything is just so complex n sht. The frame data, mix-ups, punishing, wake-ups, evasions, and all those fun stuff are hard to master but is really rewarding once you study them then implement it in your gameplay. Not to mention watching high-level play in fighting games are so hype, especially when you get the idea of what’s going on, the Tekken World Tour Finals that happened yesterday was a prime example of this.
Alright, sorry for rambling, just really passionate about fighting games, specifically Tekken lol
