Use Polyfills, you can make four or so invisible nodes, and connect the polyfill from the bottom of the torso to the invisible nodes

Well some of the animators(that makes a video of about baby stuff) they can manage themselves
As for us 2d/3d animators
We obviously would choose the path where we can post fighting animations or something..
