Yeah, I admit it. I lost motivation because of BatoGoji. For me, the biggest issue with this design is the spikes on his back or more specifically, the lack of good reference material. You have no idea how hard it is to try and create the center spikes right using the X-Plus statue as a base when the outer spikes almost engulf the former in height and the bullshitery doubles with little to no decent references.
I still want to continue this little side hustle of making every godzilla since his 70th anniversary is coming up but the Heisei Era is looking like an absolute bitch to tackle design wise. I’m definitely not proud of the head and will probably alter it a lot

My \"Little\" Review on Godzilla Minus One and King Kong (1933)Hello. I\’m the Godzilla nerd, Olgah-Zhruba and today, I am going to be reviewing two movies which are of course in the title so I really shouldn\’t have to explain myself any further. Oh yeah, there are gonna be spoilers or maybe not if you don\’t care about Dogzilla -0.1 or King Dong 33\’ lol
Godzooky Negative One
So if you didn\’t know, Godzilla Minus One is often regarded as one of, if not, the very best godzilla movie and one of the greatest movies in recent years. So naturally, I had to see what all the hype was all about especially after having done a marathon for most Godzilla movies and now Its time to ask; What do I think of -0.1? Yeah it\’s good. Koichi Shikishima is, surprisingly, a memorable protagonist with a bittersweet relationship with Noriko and Akiko. Noda, Akitsu, and Mizushrima are pretty good as well and I definitely feel for Tachibana. Godzilla here is a fucking heartless jackass as opposed to what I\’d argue is was the somewhat more tragic vengeful beast he was in the already very somber 1954 classic. Oh yeah, did I mention this movie was depressing yet thrilling? From a main character suffering from PTSD to feeling the nigh-hopelessness, destruction and terror of Godzilla\’s presence and of course, that first atomic breath sequence. Easily one of the best sequences for a film about a fat lizard with insane prejudice towards his home. Combine the fantastic writing and character work with CGI that can rival even Davy Jones and dare I say, the 2007 Transformers and yes, Godzilla Minus One is good… but I have to admit, there are some moments where the CGI is a little janky (which is no fault of the VFX team given the $15M+ budget) and I fucking resent this \”know-it-all\” and \”Godzilla should only be like this\” narrative that came with Minus One. I\’ll save particular rant for a later time. Now what about his furry predecessor and inspiration?
Monkey Lord: Classic Edition
Oh yeah, we got the double K in the building and most especially, his very first outing in cinema. Now what do I think of this classic? It\’s pretty good too if, of course, outdated. Ann Darrow is okay but ultimately, late actress Fay Wray really didn\’t get to do much outside of being the damsel in distress, Robert Armstrong as Carl Denham is actually pretty charming and while he is rather generic, Bruce Cabot as John Driscol does a good enough job as a hero saving the beauty from the beast. Speaking of, this is unsurprisingly a tale of Beauty and Beast. There isn\’t much to say in this regard narrativewise but in special effects? Sure, it\’s naturally outdated but even so, it is still impressive what Willis H. O\’Brien (RIP) was able to achieve in 1933 but It also sucks how much he was screwed over following the success of King Kong. If you\’re wondering what I mean, just check out the biography of his wikipedia page. Moving on, there is definitely a magic to seeing Skull Island and all of its secrets unfolding before us and of course, how can we not talk about that ending? Truly one of the most iconic moments in cinema and dare I say, american history itself. The capturing of Kong, his presentation to the world, his escape, all of that accumulating to a final act of defiance on top the empire state building that ultimately results in beauty killing the beast. It should come as no surprise that this movie changed the landscape of cinema damn near permanently and is considered a timeless classic.
Woah, that was a load of text or as the kids would say, a bunch of yapping from me. Anyways, that\’s it so congrats if you managed to read this much code and I\’m leaving now… good lord, what the fuck happened here-
