Gender roles are social
Gender identity is your personal identity
Gender is mostly social, but not all of it
My gender isn’t transgender girl, it’s just girl
I am transgender tho, but it’s not like it’s one word.
I’m just as much girl as a cis girl would be.
A cis girls gender is girl, but she is still cisgender.
We would use transgender and cisgender along with girl as to easily differentiate between themAnd uh
Male and female
Man and womanThose go together? I think? I’m confused how is what I used wrong.
Anwyays
Yea
We basically agree I just corrected a few things and asked a questionEdit: I’m loopy and tired so might’ve said somethig wrong here kek but mostly it’s right I’m pretty sure

but yes he started it with the intent of saying I’m not a girl and have no right to be one most likely.
Sure, biologically you are sort of right, although above I’ve explained somewhat.
Although, when people say penis = dude, it IS transphobic Becuase they are saying if you got a penis, you are. Dude.
Of which I am not even tho I happen to have a penis.
My biological sex, is male sure.
But my gender identity isn’t and it’s what matters imo

A guy can wear dresses, or be a good cook, or play with dolls, or have pink as his favorite color, or be caring and nurturing, and still be thought of as male. A girl can wear neckties, or be good at fixing things, or play sports, or hate children, or be very alpha and competitive, and still be thought of as female. Basically everything we associate with the behavior of one gender or another is a stereotype, and we can conceive of someone who belongs to one gender or the other and yet none of these stereotypes apply to them.
Since there are no inherently male or female qualities in terms of personality or preferences or ways of doing things1 , those genders are only really meaningful inasmuch as they apply to personal identity. It just so happens that our society tends to only think of two, male and female, as being valid because they are the most common and happen to often map to the most common sex configurations (And even then not always. If we consider transgender people as being valid, and I do, then even things like “having a penis” or “being able to menstruate/give birth” aren’t absolute conditions of belonging to a male or female gender, respectively– for that matter, it doesn’t even have to be a trans person to demonstrate that these aren’t necessary conditions of being male or female– a male veteran who lost his penis due to a combat injury would still be thought of as a man or boy, and a woman who had a hysterectomy because of cancer, or who has always been infertile, or just who has gone through menopause or hasn’t hit puberty yet, is still normally thought of as a woman or girl.)
Furthermore, there aren’t even consistently two physical sexes. Intersex people are born every day, in every city in the world. If the cold physical facts of biology don’t stick to a strict gender binary, how can we expect the much more nebulous and personal concept of individual identities to? -
