One villain trope I’ve seen without fail over the years
They create their own hero
So let’s say prophecy stuff says hero will kill villain. Villiain figures out who said hero is. Sends soldiers to kill him (why do they send minions instead of doing sh:t themselves) and hero escapes to kill villain. So really if the dark lord left hero alone or have him his own private fcking island the villains career would be safe -

Ok I’ll say it. I am laughing at this community. Seriously? Jostick pisses you off this much? Look you can argue that he told someone to kill themselves but that is internet troll 101 fools! Your feeding him! Giving his ass attention. He really has done nothing. Especially compared to me. By this communities standards I should get more hate then him. Hell the worst I’ve cared from him was spam. That’s the most he has effected the community. Hell even if he has threatened someone I’ve carried out my threats. So yeah. For those who keep feeding him I’m genuinely laughing at your foolishness .

According to the survival book, we should resolve situations with a bit of aggresiveness
If the situation does’nt resolve, call friends to explain or be more aggressive or be the ” magnum ” ( a guy who proves everything wrong to everyone )

Unfortunately mate, gotta disagree on this one. It doesn’t matter if he’s just a troll and is “incomparable with what others have done.” We don’t let thieves go because “murderers are worse in comparison.” He’s breaking the rules with spamming and trolling and all of this, so he should face consequences just like any other person would in the same situation.
I’ve never believed that ignoring problems solves them completely. You don’t stop a bully by just avoiding and ignoring them. It’s all done for attention of course. The bully wants more attention. If you don’t give them any, they’ll worsen their behavior to make sure you have to, even if things become violent. This example has stood true for as long as bullying has been a thing. If you do not solve a problem and choose to ignore it, it continues to worsen. You wouldn’t think an infection would get better if everyone ignored its existence.
You even said it yourself here, that he’s a troll. Of course I understand there are trolls on the internet. But what happens to trolls when they spam on any social media platform? They get banned. Because they’re breaking the rules by spamming in such a matter. Why should JoShtick be considered an exception?
Of course people are fighting back on this, JoShtick is a problem for people and they really don’t like what he’s doing. Because he’s a troll. So yes, they insult him and call him out on the stupid stuff he’s doing. But he comes with even worse remarks. Even in this post, he full on said the N-word lol. JoShtick is being a dope, so people call him a dope, and he reacts even more violently. Who’s at blame here? People who are calling JoShtick a dope, or JoShtick for actually doing the negative actions? I don’t think the public outcry is the problem here, I think what’s causing the outcry is the problem. There isn’t anything to really debate here, he’s just spamming a lot and people don’t like spam. So why would it be the people doing the wrong for calling out JoShtick on spamming instead of JoShtick himself for actually spamming?
Those are just my thoughts on the matter.
-
Replying to:

-
Replying to:
People are indeed making a bigger deal out of it than it needs to be. He’s just a simple troll and spammer, so he should be quickly dealt with as such instead of all this fuss going on. If ya break the rules and spam, I think there should be consequences. We should try preventing him from being able to feed on such attention and anger. And as of thus far, no such action has been taken to prevent it.
-
Replying to:
I think there should be consequences.
I don’t really.
People already kinda hate him. That’s, in my opinion, concequence enough.
It’s like arresting someone for being arrested.

If you break the rules, you deserve the consequences received from breaking the rules. It is honestly that simple. It doesn’t matter if people don’t like him or not. That isn’t the official punishment, just something that happens when someone breaks the rules and it affects others.
It’s like someone stealing money from a bank and the police decide not to arrest the robber because the public already hates that he stole from the bank.

I see what you’re trying to say, but people have spammed before, and have gotten called out on. JoShtick just reacted to the people calling out on him, other people joined in, fought back, and it just escelated from there.
The bully wants more attention. If you don’t give them any, they’ll worsen their behavior to make sure you have to,
What you’re saying is that he sould just sit there and take it? If someone insulted you, you would comment back, right?
We don’t let thieves go because “murderers are worse in comparison.”
No, we don’t, but what he did is harmless. In my eyes, he just posted stuff and people got all sensitive about it. Calling him a spammer and trying to get him banned won’t fix anything. It’s like trying to put out a fire with lighter fluid, it just makes everything worse for everybody.
There isn’t anything to really debate here, he’s just spamming a lot and people don’t like spam.
Then, said “people”, should just not care and move on. People like me, like to be part of activities and comment on stuff going on in the activity page. If there’s nothing but JoShtick’s posts, they’ll rip in on that, instead of making a new post, or finding something else. Maybe that’s what happened? People did that, and he reacted negatively.
I’m not saying he shouldn’t be told off about it, i’m saying everyone should just cool it.
-
Replying to:
Alright I’m gonna have to set you and toxic up for some crazy intellectual debate
-
Replying to:
1. The bully example by itself was merely to highlight how ignoring a problem wouldn’t fix it. I don’t believe anyone would just sit there and take it, hence why all this is going on. The reason as to why insults are flying at JoShtick in the first place is because JoShtick continued to spam the posts with incredibly long messages. Many different members asked him to at least tone down how many posts he makes. He agressivley refused and continued to make more posts, which became more and more nonsensical and mocking as he was fishing for reactions and anger. And surprise, he got it, as more people were getting angry that he was still spamming and now mocking others. They started insulting him and telling him to stop, and JoShtick reacted even more violently by using offensive racial terms and continuing to break rules by spamming. I don’t think that’s ok in any circumstance.
2. The guidelines on any sort of social media platform or community is to not spam. People are calling him a spammer because he is indeed spamming. Under the context of basic community/online posting rules, he would be banned for spamming, because he’s breaking the rules. Simple as that. Break the rules, receive the consequences. JoShtick has spammed, used offensive racial terms, and has in general committed acts that would justify a ban. It isn’t because “he’s a jerk” but because he has broken legitimate rules and he deserves consequences for them. The opinion on whether or not the action is “harmless” is not of importance.
3. The very reason why people are doing this is because they too enjoy being a part of activities and commenting on stuff going on. Of course they’re ripping on JoShtick’s posts, because JoShtick keeps cluttering the feed and spamming with his posts. These people want to interact with others, but because JoShtick keeps spamming and behaving in this manner, that inhibits them from being able to do so. You may not care personally, but these people do, and they’re in the right to care considering JoShtick is breaking the rules by spamming in this manner. And as I’ve said before, “not caring and moving on” doesn’t solve any problems whatsoever, it is only fleeing from them, leaving them unresolved.
I do believe people should be calmer facing this, but I also believe JoShtick shouldn’t be let off the hook. He should refrain from spamming and using offensive racial terms in the future, and he should be banned if he continues for failing to follow the rules.
-
Replying to:
He should refrain from spamming and using offensive racial terms in the future,
I will talk to him about this. Again, i’m trying to help everyone with this. So, that will happen.
These people want to interact with others, but because JoShtick keeps spamming and behaving in this manner,
That really shouldn’t matter. People should take the effort to either talk with JoShtick, and make friends, or make a new post, if they really want to communicate, not rip in on his stuff. Imagine someone ripping into something pointless you posted.
And as I’ve said before, “not caring and moving on” doesn’t solve any problems whatsoever,
In some cases, it does. Just ignoring something like that, or not being a part of it, will help it finish. It’s like depriving a fire of oxygen.
The guidelines on any sort of social media platform or community is to not spam.
Yes, it is. And he should recive a punishment, just not a terribly harsh one. People hate him. That’s bad enough, right?
JoShtick continued to spam the posts with incredibly long messages.
Wasn’t he just gining backstory on his RHG or something like that? People do that. Granted, he should have done it in a group, but he might not be in any sort of group to post it in.
He agressivley refused and continued to make more posts, which became more and more nonsensical and mocking as he was fishing for reactions and anger.
I did not know of this, and thank you for telling me. Again, i’m going to talk to him about this.
In close, he shouldn’t need punishment, but if he does, it shouldn’t be too aggresive. I will talk to him, and this probably won’t happen again.
(i feel like a lawyer or something XD)
-
Replying to:
1. People have indeed tried befriending JoShtick or at the very least tolerate him. He still continues to spam and clutter up the feed. People do try to create their own posts, but those get swarmed up with his. I’d understand why anyone would feel unhappy if they decide to post something funny and nonsensical and someone decided to rip into it. However, JoShtick has continued to constantly post such things and clutter up the feed. They rip on his stuff not because of the stuff he has, but because he constantly spams all of it all over the place and breaks the rules.
2. I do understand ignoring a problem can fix it. There’s been multiple cases where that has occured for me. In this situation, where it is an online chat room, however, such an option isn’t as easy. At least in the real world you can try avoiding the person you dislike. JoShtick consistently posts spam in the feeds. It’s hard to ignore because he alone takes up a good half of all the activity due to his constant spamming. Something like this shouldn’t be something we just “move on from and make do with.” He’s breaking the rules, he should be penalized for it. We shouldn’t have to get used to his behavior when he’s breaking the rules. He should have to be required to cease such behavior.
3. People hating isn’t a punishment whatsoever, it’s merely an effect resulting from a cause. If you call someone an idiot, that causes the person to dislike you, which is the effect. If you break a rule, you will receive consequences for it, which is the punishment. In this case, JoShtick’s actions have resulted in both making people angry and breaking the rules. It doesn’t matter that people don’t like him, that isn’t an actual punishment.
4. JoShtick was not just posting on his backstory. He was constantly posting on random topics in posts that could all be combined into one. His activity shows that he has just been cluttering the feed with random messages as well as RHG backstory stuff.
In general, I don’t think rules and consequences should be disregarded for the sake of friendliness and avoiding conflict. By breaking the rules, it is required for some form of consequence/punishment to be inflicted. I don’t believe the consequences are aggressive, I believe they are both necessary and appropriate to the situation. His actions warrant a punishment according to the rules. So he should receive one. Simple as that. I believe that punishments should be appropriate to the action, and the rules state what the punishment should be, therefor I will stand with that punishment. It’s upholding rules, not trying to get everyone to be friends.
