Because the rifles are supposed to be “callbacks” or “homages” or whatever the fuck.
General rule of thumb is to always look at it from a technological viewpoint:
1892 MLE revolver? Yeah surely that revolver is made in 1892, MLE went out of business in like the 2000’s
1854 Winchester Repeater? Winchester wasnt a thing until 1866, so of course it’s a modern gun.
