My whole state closed all schools until April 6th so I guess it’s pizza time

To be honest ralph, I\’m just paranoid. Its probably because of the fact that I\’m a little more active than I use to be when people aren\’t always online. Another fact is a I\’m legit paranoid because stuff in my possession is going missing. I lost my airpods for my Iphone, and Some other minor things like My School ID. I think those contribute to my paranoia. I hope its just nothing but I\’m freaking out because of something.

Welcome to my Ted Talk.
I’m a little worried about the future of Stick Nodes. Why you may ask? It’s because the activity. You can say that it’s school time, but in my opinion that’s not why there is such decrease of activity. For a few days it literally was just me @Mab and a few new people making post. I feel like everyday we’re losing people in this community. @aguy doesn’t even post anymore but he’s active. @explosivebullet also is missing but he’s probably working on PL. Now I don’t want too many people on the website, because we will have too much activity. I love how close knit this community is but I feel like it gets smaller and smaller everyday. Those are the reasons I’m genuinely concerned about the future of this site.
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.P.S. I want to know both of your opinions @ralph @arionek

you mention it here but it’s a major factor you kinda pushed aside – school
weekends are MUCH more trafficked than weekdays, I have the stats to prove it, not to mention the holidays during December where every day was basically weekend-level traffic
I normally notice lulls in action where I view /activity/ and see its a bit dead, it comes and goes, but honestly I do not see it right now so you might just be over analyzing a little
I know I sound like a broken-ass record but when the redesign comes (soon, next week) thats gonna spice things up
…then I work on the app for a quick update
then back to the website to spruce up this /activity/ section of the website + work on adding movieclip submissions
all that ^ plus incoming summer = lots more activity

nah it’s fine, and the fact there are users who bring this up is actually neat bc u care lol
also it’s funny you brought this up when you did
because yesterday was for some odd reason one of the busiest Thursdays ever with 20,000+ sessions, weekend levels
i bet schools are closed because of the coronashit

it’s so weird you say weekends are the most active, for me it’s the opposite
although maybe it’s because stick nodes is the only thing that isn’t blocked by my school wifi…

*What ralph was saying*
Also you should take into account the amount of great animation videos on youtube which than inspired people to animate but chances are they are using a mobile device, in which case they would than find Stick Nodes and eventually make their way to the site therefore increasing activity post frequency.

SN is still growing which astounds me
again, I never intended this
but here we are
now I’m slowly just trying to take over the world-
localization by localization
-
-
We need a lot of people being active, I mean like in one second of SN site, there is an average of 30 users online. there’s like 20k users ever joined SN…tho I get it if it’s because we’re just teenagers who swears randomly, yes.
-

Well…. fuck
-
Replying to:
honestly “30 people” active at any given moment is pretty damn good
i mean, we’re not like reddit or youtube up in here
its a much more tightly-knit community of bros and like 1 bro-ette
-
-
Well…. Inactive cause PL, and also inactive cause I got school and distractions like Siege and MCC. As well as 3D modeling and animation that I am trying to learn.
-
Replying to:
i started 3D modelling a little before SN
then of course, SN and all that so it didn’t go anywhere…
I’d be a Unity dude right now likely if SN didn’t go anywhere
-
Replying to:
I will probably be one of those people who use unity, I just gotta learn how to script. 3D Modeling is just something I kinda know. But I ain’t sure where to go for engines with good graphics that is free anyway.

creative block since the radio pack
to be fair that pack is still impressive years laterit’s completely normal you feel this way though
idk I feel like people think they need to be part of a community *forever*, maybe it’s different nowadays because of the new social media generation?…
not to sound like I’m ancient, but even like 10-15 years ago before Twitter etc, the “place to be” were phpbb forums (DarkDemon.org, the Pivot forum) and other forums, like NewGrounds
back then people came and went over the years, I saw as I was a very active member on these forums
then guess what, I left to at one point
not necessarily permanently, but more of a “i’m not really animating anymore/a lot but I’ll still post here because lols”it’s just how it be
ps let me just add on it’s not like you’re all disposable lmao, I wish you’d all stick around but realistically that’s not gonna happen
