Sup people. Hoping y’all having a good day.
After some time of trial and error I am finally done with the fig, specially on the arm from the various clipping. Decided to use a simple gothic gauntlet instead of an hourglass gauntlet.
What do y’all think I should improve on?
(I still need to add the shoulders, but that might be optional.) -
G’day
Honestly going back to work in projects are rather fun, you get to see what your initial intents were and how you changed em, that’s fun in my books.
Anyway so got back into the figure I was doing and I decided to add a gambeson with smart stretch on the lower part to simulate cloth movement( though right now it’s pretty bare bones) and decided to add a padded coif.
Just wanted to know if there could be room from improvement, always helps.
(Also arms and sword are not mine, I just haven’t got around to actually doing my own yet) -
Whilst not entirely pleased with it, I’ve decided to go with the churburg styled breastplate given the fact the it won’t clip with the lower torso.
On a completely different topic. Anyone has any good references for the arm armour part? Most references I’ve used so far ended up clipping once put to the test.

Depends on the characteristics you are aiming for.
For me I feel as if the top lip is a bit close to the nose. And the nose is a little squashed. The eyes I feel like it\’s in the right position.

Helmets are fun to make… Specially when they have so many god damn curves and they can’t be ignored or that’s a big no no.
Anyway here’s a klappvisor and a burgonet (simplistic versión of it because I am not dying on a “normal” one)
Also my bad for the fact that the quality went bad and that the colours for the burgonet is so similar it looks like they are the same colours.

You know. I never thought of doing that. I\’ll start doing that

It’s pretty good, we need more medieval/fantasy figures and objects on the website.
-
It’s good, and regarding the sidetracking:
Try to keep your ideas in a notebook, so you don’t feel obligated to finish them before you forget. This way, you can focus on current things while still being able to finish your other ideas.

I mean, intentions for this fig is to be a base figure for everyone to do their own figures.
But if improvements can be made, why not do them?
For me at the end of the day if people enjoy it and it doesn\’t have nodes Pocking out, I\’m happy. -

Lmfao, aight I\’ll see what I can do then. So curve the calves a tad more.
slim down the quads.
More accurate rear side.Aight I\’ll see what I can do. Though any suggestion on how to make the rear more accurate as currently it\’s on the leg and not the torso. (don\’t know how to add a pic but it was on the last post)

The calves need more curve, the quads need to be thinner and not so bulked like a bodybuilder and the butt should have more shape to it like a transition of curve from the lower back to a large round shape that is at a slight outward rotation then another curve beneath that connecting the butt to the upper leg.
Currently it is just a circle and while it holds out it could look more accurate and not like she’s had surgery looking like Kim Kardarshian’s twin (not sure if I spelt her second name right).
Besides that it looks pretty good, well done.

depends if the calves are skin/skin-tight or that’s like, some kind of armor or something
as it is looks really good, at this point it’s up to your style, don’t be afraid to over-exaggerate things (look at various cartoons and how a “body” is so drastically different)

Yeah, just noticed that now. I\’ll see if I can slim that down a tad more.

Another three months has passed. And with that my decent into madness continues.
Anyhow, what y’all think of this char? Well I was kinda thinking of making it a base figure for future figures and it looks promising. Y’all got any ideas for improvement?
(The arm is old WIP arm that I might re-use but change it a bit in thickness and width to fit the base figure itself. Or I could just do a new one… Idk)

I do see some areas where less nodes could be used/ more details could have been added. However besides that the figures pretty solid.
Assuming it fits the style your going for, I would recommend trying to add eyes, a mouth, eyebrows etc. However if it doesn’t fit the style your going for, your fine with that aspect.
As you asked, I would recommend adding detailing to the armor, doesn’t have to be a lot, but just make sure you have this saved as a back up in case you don’t like the added details.
Overall looking really good, great work.
hope y’all having a good time
ha. lmao.
nice work tho, clean af
