Pretty much everything that aint Nukelander related.
I always come up with the craziest working stories but once trying to execute, it never turns out as I like it to. Guess most of the users here have the exact same situation.

The place?
If you are talking the area in the gif. It Isnt anything nor has a temperature. It’s just a test sheet for the animations of the weapon.
In the actual Chapter 2 storyline the weapon will encounter many temperatures from very freezing and melting temperatures [In space]

Negative, would be a waste of everyone’s time having it shoot a couple of times which is unnecessary as it would have the same animation.
Also gif export time would be a pain. The time until it overheats is dependent on mostly 2 factors:
-Temperature of Area
-Fire RateToo cold temperatures wouldn’t be a problem for overheating but it will cause for the “Plasma” to solidify.
Too hot conditions will obviously make the weapon hotter en hence the frequency of overheating increases. The fire rate is mostly kinda tricky, firing slow wouldn’t make the weapon overheat nor will firing too fast be a problem. Due to the nature of material used where the “plasma” is located, it wont be able to overheat when the weapon is fired at a rapid rate.
This is due to the fact the heat produced when firing is immediately released with the second triggerpull making a sort of loop. Here’s the best way I can explain it:
Weapon fires —> Heat in the form of plasma (also just warmth) gets shot out—> friction and whatnot creates heat inside weapon —> Weapon Fires —>repeat.Getting this gun go overheat is nearly not possible.
P.S: Im not a scientist but it should make some sense I guess.
