Vaccines donβt prevent sickness, that has never been what they do, they prepare the body for the sickness to lessen the effects of said sickness. You still get sick but your body is far more prepared to fight the disease and it goes away faster and easier.

Smallpox has been pretty much eradicated due to vaccines, and polio almost has been.
Just because your parents told you that theyβre a scam doesnβt mean itβs true. It just means theyβre misinformed and are privileged enough to live in a time where they donβt have to worry about dying to some horrendous contagious disease as much due to other people getting vaccinated
