Anyone who’s played the game will tell you that she has nothing to do with sex, and the reason her jumpsuit is unzipped has nothing to do with sex. In the game she unzips her jumpsuit to show the main character Naked Snake, who is her pupil, a scar. Snake and Boss have more like a mother and son relationship, so even in game it isn’t treated as something pervy, and her bewbs aren’t the focus. This is an example of something a lot of people perceive to be sexual but in context isn’t

Now to do a complete 180 and show you this character:

This is EVA

She’s a spy sent after a disc containing the location of a fortune.

The suit is supposed to be sexual. EVA is a spy who want’s to bone Snake not only just for the hell of it, but to also get valueable information. But EVA is more than just sex, she’s an expert spy and excellent pilot. There’s no shame in EVA because sex is apart of her character, but isn’t always the focus.

Now to show you this concept done horribly wrong:

The reason she dresses like that has nothing to do with sex

Yet she’s constantly flaunting herself at the camera, which does come off as awkward and pervy.

Not only that, but the explanation for why she dresses like that is stupid, even more stupid than some of the other shenanigans in the later parts of Metal Gear

You see, she dresses like that because she breathes through her skin. Because of “parasites” (AKA nanomachines) her body behaves more like a flower.

Because of this completely asinine explanation for a character who didn’t need a plot thread like this, Quiet’s sexual nature is seen as awkward at best, and offensive at worst.

Now I don’t know the reasons why Mewlia has her jumpsuit open, I’m pretty sure Vamrack has a reason though, and gauging by his reaction to most of you guy’s comments it definitely isn’t sexual
