Hey, okay, i use an IPad Gen 6, i edit my SN Clips in IMovie.
How do i add effects that sit on top of a clip so it can look like its raining, similar to what Bullet did in his new Project Landfall Ep.1 (recommend watchin if you haven’t).
Like, I don’t need it right now, but it’d be handy for later.

If I can’t, could you advise a quick, simple and easy way to do a rain effect from within SN and what figs to use.Thanks.

well what does IMovie have the ability to do?
can you overlay video or images?
Eh, kind of.

^
what does kind of mean in this context
Long live Paint 3D
imagine, once again, how easy this would be with some movieclip action in SN

Ralph:
just ask @explosivebullet how he did it

He’s Android, different software
Unless power director is on apple, I can’t do much to help. Also power director has watermarks and kinda forces you to pay for at least one feature so I’m sure Epitaph wants to avoid that.
No u
Well. If all fails, you could send the clip to me, I can then add rain and so on with no compression but I’m sure you are looking for something like green screen or just layered effects. We use different platforms so I got no idea how to help you. Maybe try green screen. Good results are a little hard to get from green screen though.

Neat, that’s actually a decent plan.
Although, I’m a fan of showing the power of SN so knowing an in-app way of doing rain is also great to know
Well. You could do something like a bunch of seperate segments lined up across the screen and set to be moved down with their figure but that would look odd. Even if you did 2 or more it would look odd with the amount of consistancy that creates a thought that the raindrops are all one thing. But if you want to do something like that in SN, make a bunch of segments with gradients from a bright blue to white then add a perfect amount of blur then add a bunch of those figures onto the frame then by every frame, move them down and make sure you have another set of raindrops ready to drop when the ones in view are about to create gaps.

Hmm
I am 10FPS remember
Yeah. I use 15-20fps. So whatever I would do can likely be compressed to something easier and quicker at your framerate. Overall. That idea is the best you will get for a smooth rain effect on SN. Other than that theres greenscreen or the layer effect that I use on powerdirector but on another app. If it exists.
You could always make a rain effect in SN

I ASKED THAT
Sony Vegas
you can make LOTS of things on it, this includes levels of sheets, you can simply download a rain video or gif in png, put it over the original video and that’s pretty much all
User Banned
Wait
But that costs money
And is for laptop…
The big no
the two reasons why its the best choice

I’m like Ralph
I want to save my money thanks.
Also, i want to keep all my Animation stuff on tablet so I’m at full strength at all times
download illegally, and even paying is a great choice since you can be sure it is a quality product that will be useful
mobile applications dont offer enough things a pc can, may cost money but its a quality service

Okay.
What about making rain within SN
you wont find any app that will give you that at least unless you pay
so if you want a mobile app with that you can use video show or kinemaster
helpful too
User Banned
No
Like
SN Effects, using figs
holly now that will take time
i wish stick nodes gets a level of sheets with loops so these kind of things can be helpful, but for now
you can just make a rain effect or use the whoosh effect, change the color add some glow and transparency and make it move down over and over during the frames you want, this may take 4 or more whoosh effects at the same place
one comes on the frame
one gets out
the ones that are out of the frame move them to the top so they can go down again
thats all

Maybe even just setting two indevidual Dash Ripoffs to ‘Do not tween Stickfigure’ and just switch between them even
yeah but Im a quality person as may have noticed
adding the rain with tween makes it actually look like its falling down and not like an anime rain frame work
your decision man
