How about a little scenario time.Okay, imagine Ralph says there’s some new update to the Stickfigures section.
So you’re like “okay, guess he put some gay unicorn furry thing there i guess” and you check it out.
You scroll down and see nothing’s changed till you spot something.
As usual, there’s one fig that’s REALLY good and is by a user Ralph clearly has some good ties to.
What you notice is that you can’t just grab the fig and go, you have to buy it.Okay, so, how would you react, what’s your opinions?
Good side to me is that it would support both Ralph and fig makers by a ton while the bad side is that it’d be yet another thing to moderate as well as people having really tight wallets.What’s your opinion?

That would be one of the worst ideas I’ve ever known. As far as the donate button, not a bad idea as it would add as a motivation for fig makers to create more high quality figures if they’re supported enough

There wouldn’t ever be paid stick figures, unless you paid to get one made, as for the donation button, it just sounds like Epitaph is trying to make more money by creating an Idea that would most likely benefit him the most.
I would hate pay figures. it would ruin the point to me. and yes there should be a donate button

Would be problematic. One time there was idea to make steam workshop items purchaseable, and people didn’t take idea too well.
Anyways, Ralph would most likely say no due to various reasons:
1. Legality, stickfigures are already tight on whats legal and what’s not. The figures here are more of Public Domain type of thing (yet there was never a license anyways).
2. Increase in thief problem, simply take smth popular and if you get through the verification procedure, you end up with a chance of getting actual money from it. I think you know there are multiple issues like that and it’s better not to encourage more thieves :v
3. Most importantly, distribution. Ralph doesn’t want to limit users as much from expressing their creativity etc. I know he makes pro, but he still keeps a lot of things free. You’d end up with 90% of stickfigure page be also paid content.

but overall you’re right and I answered below in more detail
only way this would work is if it was more dlc-like like, a very well-made PACK of figures, like the entire cast of some cartoon show, well made and well-organized etc
and it was like $1 or $2 or something
however this is a bit too EA for my liking so I’d likely not do it
plus as soon as one individual got it, nothing stopping him from spreading it around like the outbreak monkey that he is :/
