A series involving several nations who are on the same mission to colonize an untouched continent on an unnamed planet. These nations all hold very different beliefs and have little thought on even attempting to work together. Technology is very advanced for some countries while others are not. All of these countries hold their own problems that instigate massive conflicts between each other.

Alright. Main video of Project landfall has 4:04 done. +53 sec I have done on a dialogue scene that I’ve made in this past 2 days. Add 1:19 on what I have done surrounding the end of the episode which much of it I probably will redo since it is kinda just thrown together.
But as of right now we got 6:16 done on Project Landfall. Not bad considering I kinda just started working on this hardcore last month. Might crank my workload up even more on it. It kinda is just taking a while. Just a little. -
-
Holy shit
whats next,voice acting?-
Replying to:
I plan to add that at some point, no doubt. But currently, I’m just making the dialogue in a way that it can be added afterwards.

Yes.

In like every project landfall episode,
the node limit just doesn’t exist.-
Replying to:
Pretty much. When I gotta find ways to delete figures off screen in a way to add something as simple as a gunshot effect, you know it’s stretching the limit.

Nice work
It’s great to see those minor details in an animation, it really brings out the time and effort put into it.
-
Replying to:
Indeed. Theres alot of that in Episode 3.

Oh boy, my man doing Voice acting too-

Your best bet is to go onto youtube and find a 3D modeling tutorial. Trick is you always start with a cube. Unless it’s for something that is round.

Hey can I join as a piece of grass? Because it\’s gonna take about as long as when Fallout 76 became good if I make an actual character, which is to say never
-
Ok i joined
-
You guy remember that old first episode of Project Landfall, right? Yeah, for a while now it\’s kinda bothered me with how lacking it is overall. Like 30 minutes is kinda a whatever thing and all especially when you look at all the problems in the first episode. The text walls, pointless dialogue, character personalities aren\’t developed very clearly, ect. This is why I\’m gonna announce a remake of the first episode. One of the most important things to have in a series is a good first impression. While the visuals and length are stunning and the story and depth to loads of the characters is amazing leaving you with a lot of information, the animation clouds that good polished first look at the series. And thanks to your guys critisism at the time and the review given by @toxic911 outlining the problems and strengths, I think it\’s safe to say I know what I am doing now with a first episode for Project Landfall. Episode 2 suffers from a few of the same problems as one but it is much better and there is going to be flaws with these episodes. But episode 1 is very important and was actually quite rushed. Especially when I rushed it out when Geminis design was a stickfigure, in which he was made before the base was set in stone. Project Landfall was not originally gonna be as complex as it was now, but I wanted to push the limits. Problem is I did it too quickly. So here\’s what is going to happen. I\’m gonna line out the quality for each scene (resolution, background details, framerate) and story related stuff (Script, actions, events) and I will animate them on occasions. But currently as my focus is on Episode 3, I will focus on getting it done before I work on this. But heres the really spicy part. I\’m gonna work with you guys on the animation. There will only be select people though since I don\’t want rough animation that is formed purely through added tweened frames like I did. The newer figures will be used and battles scenes will be better. Pacing will be enhanced with no pauses in between battles. All dialogue will dynamic as it is in Episode 3. So if you are skilled and are prepared to take on this challenge, you\’re gonna want to prove it first. And for clarity, just because you use non tween doesn\’t mean your animation will look better, in fact it might just end up looking worse and absolutely horrible. So you are gonna have to show me that you can:
-Animate using the PL base.
-Animate using tween.
-Be able to animate guns accurately.
-Animate Tweened Effects.
-Animate fights realistically and so on.
This isn\’t priority though considering the amount of time it will take and the fact that this is something that won\’t be easy considering I\’m gonna be strict with the final product. I will likely make a video bringing the details out in a more clear fashion on what needs to be done. But currently I need to get a load done on Episode 3. It\’s taking a lot of time.-
Nice
-
Heh, I had to do that with my series.
-
Replying to:
It sucks when you feel it’s nessesary, but great when you know what you need to fix.

I’d like to help with the animation but my tablet’s probably gonna explode the moment it even gets a sec in.

Same

Replying to:
Hmm. Didn’t quite think about the power of peoples devices. Well this is gonna suck.
-
-
-
Can I still join this?
-
No need to mention me in my own group. You can. Just it’s a lot of work to make one character alone. Especially when front views and rear views are now needed.
-
Replying to:
Alright, I might make one soon

Stick Nodes RTX #soon

I think a lil filter would seal the deal
-
Replying to:
I don’t exactly like adding filters outside SN. Aside from the rain. Rain in SN is hell to deal with. Even with movie clips.

i think you should make various armed versions of this truck (perhaps make a lighter version that looks more like a toyota land cruiser than a ford f150) perhaps as a light mortar carrier or perhaps with anti tank/ air weapons especially if there’s a kind of poor/ insurgent faction that cant afford tanks and the fancy futuristic weapons
-
Replying to:
If it’s gonna look like another truck, I may as well make an entirely new model since different versions of a truck in real life looking different from each other are pretty much different brands. That and the standard for vehicles changes with the nations. So the poor nations wont be buying this vehicle. They will be buying the vintage old vehicles we use now. Not this brand new type with the internal hud which is the new standard in rich countries.
-
-
-
The Automotive Industry on Landfall is nothing like what it is on Earth. But when the civilians need a hardy truck with the latest features like internal HUD displays in the windshield and Hydrogen Fuel compatibility, they go for the Grizzly K-460. While still maintaining that modern look of a truck, it delivers the newest features of the century.
-
What type of fuel will it use?
-
Replying to:
Hydrogen. Really long lasting fuel.
-
Replying to:
-
Replying to:
Pinanfarina H2 Speed uses that
-
Replying to:
It’s 2.5 mil for a reason, this truck on the other hand is about $15,000. Middle class people can afford it.
-
Replying to:
well, that is cheaper than a Model T, then. It’s possibly because of trend. Hydrogen is rarely used back in the day. PL is in 2080’s, the trend might’ve change a lot, where hydrogen cars are used more than petrol or electric cars.
-
Replying to:
Model Ts have went up in price primarily cause they are becoming rare. When their numbers start decreasing when they already have decreased immensly, the price goes up. Originally the price of the Model T was $800 but since the dollar changes, that price will change for that reason too.
-
Replying to:
Nah, there $900, but yeah, 1928 is the last year of T production before it is changed to Model A.
A Model T is probably $30,000. Well, they are 92 years old, at least.
-
Replying to:
Yeah. Considering they are rare now, that’s the case.

@ralph
Any idea whats going on with the export here? It’s keeps doing this funky thing the minute they get over the fence. It just turns into an early 2000s youtube tutorial video or a deep fried meme. I’m kinda lost cause I exported at 1080p, anti aliasing, with and without the export fixing thing. All turns out the same.
-
Funky
-
Now it’s time to get funky
-
okay so first off the “fix export” thing is for exports that are *clearly* broken and come out glitched out so that’s for specific devices
now as for why, my guess is MP4 artifacting
you can even notice this on TV at times, specifically when confetti is flying everywhere during an award ceremony or something (for example)
MP4, being a compressed format, kinda shits itself with complex images/framesnow, is this scene particularly complex and worthy of that?
not really, to be honest – it’s the brick layout doing it I imagine
can it be fixed? I will see, I want to check out how I export with Android’s built-in MediaCodec, I might be able to play with the bitratevideo about it go to 3:00 for example
-
Replying to:
Hey uh ralph so i just got a new Ios device and i had stknds pro on my other android device could i possibly get pro on my new device for free since i paid for it b4. Not lying to you btw.
-
Replying to:
pls send me email @ [email protected] and just say hi or something
-
-
Replying to:
Actually ended up watching that whole video. Makes sense actually but you’re right. The brick layout isn’t that complex. If this can be fixed though with a higher bitrate, that would be nice. I might try exporting all the Individual frames as PNGs, then put them all together in a hih bitrate video then see how it turns out. But that’s a lot of work for just a 3 second or so scene.
-
Replying to:
somewhere in Poland, arcionek smiles
if you hold out (and if im not dumb) the next SN update will have a bitrate chooser
but I think I honestly have it already as some high-ass number so, idk
-
Replying to:
Well. Just go all out I’d say. Set that recommended number then people can do whatever they need and aren’t limited by some wack limitations of the apps export. Also this same update better include a similar thing for sound. You know how I like my quality.
-
-

So do I need a base or something

Why not teatching another animator how you animate so he can help you ?
Cause there’s certain details and a threshold of quality that I am looking for. And if I’m getting help from someone else for a series that I’m trying to do mostly solo, I can’t exactly take as much credit for it.
