  • I have hit the point where apparently the video compression is very visible. It actually bothers me any I don’t know if I should beg for 1440p or 4k export to compensate for the bitrate limitations on android. At one point I thought the bitrate could go higher but…

        My monkey brain didn’t even think of that. It’s a little more technical but not hard at all. So used to just pressing export, but this will be much better for those complex scenes.

            I have 64 gb that are constantly being emptied out onto my PCs storage so I can edit. Clips together. Gonna be a mess having to put these files together before I put them into the main project, but things will be crisp as a result.

  • Been doing a load of late. Screwing with parrelax and making subtle color changes between scenes for simple tonal changes. 30 seconds of action so far this episode. But the trench warfare I’m doing is a lot of ground creation. Fun and cool as hell, but a little more time consuming. The most hectic scene I have ever animated and I think when it is finished it will be really good. If my team helps me out a bunch after this with assets, I should be on the road to finishing this up. This episode will be longer than 3 for sure though. Maybe even episode 2 or 1.

  • POVs are something that are kinda a staple of my animations. Thing is they have been missing from past animations so I’m trying to bring them back to a degree. I recall Ralph loving them and I can’t say I blame him, cause damn they look good now. Episode 4 is shaping up to be a banger.

  • A quick update that I am at 8 minutes and 17 seconds, right into some action that is pretty intense. Dunno if this video I am linking will embed or not, but I will give it a shot.

  • All I need to do now for this is the smart stretch integration and some bug fixing with the fingers. Then I can start working on some animation. Next thing will probably be the president of the NBC which already looks great and a Dylan Thatcher redesign to make him more modern.

        For him I believe he uses a higher-end device so even when he does have multiple high-node stickfigures he can still run them well enough to use.

        With the node management itself, likely just practice and refinement over time.

        Pretty much what Tasty Lemon said. I know the more optimal ways to create and fill in a shape while still having that natural look on the outside. I could easily get more nodes if I went for a more geometric style, but that would be very clear and seperating every limb allows me to squeeze around 1000 and more nodes into a single character. It requires some practice and time to know how to fit all the nodes into a single character. But it’s nothing too hard when all the limbs are seperate.

  • 7 minutes and 45 seconds of PL done. Just getting into the action and probably will ignore making a complete remaster P90 for this one since I really don’t want to get caught making another asset when I am so burnt out from the last. Anyway, have an image that I might test some video editor shading stuff on.

  • Project Landfall is still slowly going. Just recently got it transfered over to my PC in which I will edit on. Plenty of features on it that will make it even better in the final product. In the meantime I almost got the M249 SAW done. I have one side done which allowed me to make this test which wasn’t easy. Heard this was robotic from someone, don’t know what they are smoking now that I look back at this at 8 different speeds. But let me knkw what you think. I put a bunch of new details in this as well as some new muzzle effects which will easily replace the old 2016 ones.

  • Work on PL has been slow of late. I haven’t gotten anything done of late, but school will be permanently out of the way soon. In the meantime, I did another educational video on the topic of design. Something SN users here constantly miss and fail to understand much like interpolation which will probably be my next topic to talk about. Who knows if my filler content will run out soon. Really annoyed of having to deal with this stuff and these videos are a good way to blow off steam. Until there is denial of an implied message in a video like I dealt with on this one. But a strong majority like always are here to listen. Feel free to jump in and check this video out explaining much of the design choices I have made with my characters. Didn’t describe every details purpose and some people are pissed off about thst despite getting the main point down, but considering I pissed a few people off and made a lot more happy that I explained this tells me I am doing something right. My goal this next bit will be to get the M249 SAW done.

        That’s pretty true. Video that earned me 400 dollars in a few months is like a minute long video. PL has done good for watch time suprisingly.

        honestly the fact that its text you gotta read kinda doesnt help either. narration would probably help cuz most people watch youtube to relax and turn off their brains for a bit and having to read a novel of a youtube video is kind of annoying imo

          People seemed to enjoy the last one so I did another one resulting in this. I would narrarate it if I had the time and silence, but I don’t exactly have that. Though I will look into doing something like that. Not Text to speech stuff though. That’s just a no.
