• Viking Shield in progress
The last poll 2 months ago says the Aspis won the majority vote, but at the time when I made the votes final the Viking Shield had won. Therefore the Aspis will be included in a later shield pack. Greek shields will definitely be explored though.
    As seen in this picture:
The base shield (Front, back, and side)
    The cap
    The cover
An example of one of the patterns (In this case, the 4Corners)
An example of one of the frames (In this case, Bolted)
More patterns and frames will be made.
In comparison to my other figures, this is complex. In comparison to most figures on the site, it’s pretty simple.
    Have a good day 🙂

  • The Roman Scutum was largely deployed by the Legionary and (In my opinion) the reason that the empire thrived so much via the military. Unparalleled by other shields or weapons of its time, the Scutum was much more than just a large slab of wood and bronze. It was a moving wall, fortified by dozens of impenetrable soldiers. It was a bludgeon, with the edge effective for catching enemies off-guard and as a last resort. It was an imposing fortress, with barbarians hacking at the scutum with no effect, only to be run through by the Legionary.
Please enjoy the Front, Side, and Back views of the Scutum Shield.
(Part of an unfinished pack, of course)

    • The red can also be recolored if you want to make a Praetorian shield or something else. And yes, that’s how the back looked. Must have been such a burden to carry.

  • A shield pack is in progress, please do not judge harshly as I am bad at making figures now, having not done so in a bit. I expect this pack will hae at least 3 seperate shields, each with 3 different variations (Front, side, back) and some with extra attachable decorations. Since there is not much middle beween each of the variations, these might look clunky and glitchy in animation, please keep that in mind
Anyone know what the work-in-progress in the second picture is?

  • Good evening. I know almost nobody knows me here but this is a post to say I won’t be here for a very long while. The site is a pain to be on and I just don’t have fun with Stick Nodes in general anymore.
I’m happy that I got Legendary Noder and I appreciate everyone who downloaded and used my figures. It always made my day. But these days people are so good at making figures and animating – and can pump out quality figures in a day or two – (props to the skill that takes) so I just don’t see that I’m needed. I can’t even animate and my figures are mediocre at best, lol.
Thank you to any old friends. I don’t actually think any of them are on the site anymore, though.
So this is goodbye for a good bit. Have a great day 🙂

    • Lots of users, leaving lately, huh?

Goodbye warlock. I may not have been here long or known you much, but you were a good user and a good part of this community, not that my word means much though since I was only here for less than a year.

I hope you have a good life, I hope great things and opportunities come your way, I hope you maintain any good things in your life that you currently have, maintain any good friendships, and make new ones.

And I’m sorry that not many of your old friends are here anymore, and I’m sorry Sticknodes is a pain now, I hope you find new, fun hobbies.

      And have a great day

Sorry if you find this cringe.

Edit: And your figures are good, better than mediocre.

    • All the best to you in your future endeavours.
But I must say, don’t beat yourself down- you say your figures are mediocre at best yet, they are good quality figures made in your own style, and you can see the enthusiasm on having made them. I’ve never seen someone put so much passion into something such as yourself, I mean look at the traditional weapons and Japanese packs, you add so much detail in the description and make them with such quality. That my friend is the mark of someone that enjoys their work and has put in the effort.

  • Hey guys! I’m trying to make a huge ancient shield pack and I’m stuck on the Aspis. It’s a very ‘simple’ and rustic shield, not much to it… and the figure I made to show this isn’t very good. I don’t know how to make it look appealing but also undetailed at the same time. Any tips?

    • You could try and just add small dents, scratches or a bit of a worn out look. If you are going for a newish look. Then adding some ball nodes that are slightly brighter yellow. For example a small ball towards the top right which is slightly brighter or something like that.
If none of that is what you want then honestly speaking, the shield is pretty good in it itself

Thank you, for some reason I honestly did not think of adding more gradients. I will use this.

    • Use polyfill in some places to make lighting on the shield

  • God of War Ragnarok, Elden Ring, or Horizon Forbidden West?
    And why, of course.

    5
    • Horizon really isn’t talked about enough.
Even tho I’m pretty sure it came out long before both of these dropped.

      2022-11-18 00:59:38 UTC 0
    • Ragnarok, I want them sweet Blades of Chaos

      2022-11-18 01:04:01 UTC 0
    • Although Horizon is the sequel to my one of my favorite video games of all time, it’s story was so different and disappointing that I kinda just gave up on it after my second to third playthrough, so i’d have to go with Ragnarok.

      2022-11-18 01:25:21 UTC 0
    • Haven’t played any of them. I want elden ring but I’m going to sit until it goes on sale
And I played a little bit of the original god of war with the ps5 remastered thing or whatever it was called.

  • Finished Roman and Greek Weapon Pack coming soon. 14 figures total, 11 unique and 3 scabbards. I hope y’all like it.

    7
  • Finished Roman weapons, the Greeks are on their way.
The first image is all of them, the handles of the swords change colors, as do the wraps of the Fasces.
The second and third are closer looks at the Vexillum and Pilum respectively.
I will make a Signum (Or Signa Romanum/Roman Standard) in a separate pack. The Scutum as well.

  • Update on upcoming weapon pack.
They look the same because they are the same, just stretched and resized. Because that’s what they legit were. The Gladius here is mostly Fulham type, Spatha is just a Spatha, and I might make some changes to the Pugio.
The handles can all change colors.
