Can’t wait for 2020+ to be awful we all say, miserably tucked in our beds, remembering all the fuck ups we made, all the bad decisions our politicians made, all the forest fires, all the melting ice caps, all the fear and pain. It’s easy to forget to think optimistically when such unfortunate occurrences… occur, but, really, 2010 to 2019 has not really been as bad as we’d all ‘like’ to think.
It’s only that way if you consider the several fuck ups we made more important than the countless good deeds we rarely take the time to appreciate, like the iron willed shop workers who sacrifice their christmas day to be there for kids eager to spend their gifted money or the many, many grand deeds we’ve made as a species in our decade like our significant advances in tech and recently stepping forth into the world of virtual reality.
With each passing decade, we also come closer to wiping out humanity’s greatest foes, ever decade grants countless hours of preparation and experimenting to find wonder cures to even the worst of ailments. For all we know, perhaps next decade is the one we finally destroy cancer once and for all.The decade will only be seen as negative because media outlets know that negativity makes a better story, but if it were up to them, we’d have never heard about those 20,000,000+ trees we all worked together within a month to plant to help in the fight to preserve our wonderful world.
This decade had it’s downs, but i say we keep our chins up and remember the good times, the advances, the steps forward we all took.
To the second decade of the new millennium, and onward to our third.

The sound effect when he zooms past the tree is one of the sound effects from Ratchet and Clank when your ship is flying through space in a loading screen, isn’t it.
Glorious bastard.
