I’ll see what I can do. I can’t promise that it will be done today as I have stuff to do but I’ll try to get something done within the coming days. Just need the figure.

I think you should move the jacket to be in front of his body, but behind his arms on each side. That way you can add sleeves if you’d like later on. Still good first attempt. Additionally, you can add poly fill if you’d like to link each side of the jacket, though it’s not needed and may look weird at times. Try it out if you’d like and see how that goes.

Here’s the evolution of Flame from just around 5 years ago, all the way to now. I’d say V4, or the third last on the right hand side was the last of my first style. As V5 and V6 are pretty radically different from all the previous models.
Still wild to look at where I started and realize that I’ve surpassed it so long ago. I can still remember sitting down all those years ago and crafting the first Flame. And now he’s pretty much everything I dreamed of him becoming.
In other news, I’ll make a official post on Flame-V6 once he is fully finished as I just have to recolor him (the custom mouths will be saved for the front view so I can do that in one go). I may take a little break but I think he should be done within a week or so. His front view is likely next, followed by the back view. After that I’ll start the other characters for the first episode. So known characters like Old Man, or Moken will likely not be made for a while. And finally I’ll be remaking my splash screen soon, and hopefully if there’s enough people wanting an update to the background of the splash screen it will get updated with current day flame as well which would be awesome. The one used is like 2-3 years old and not a main line version as seen below so I’d love to see that get updated with the current Flame model.

Looks like a choke slam. Anyway I appreciate you using Flame. Looking forward to see what you make next man.

This is a good example of how to do with with a separate figure https://sticknodes.com/sticks/drip-jacket-pack-zip/
Just make sure that the arm of your figure a separate figure and not part of the body for this to work -

Depends on what you’re going for exactly. But I presume you’d want the jacket to be open. In that case you can keep it simple and just have it go behind the shoulder, but in front of the body. Then just have it come down with a few moving rounded segments with any detail in between.

There is more I can improve on him since this project has been about 4-5 months long, however for the sake of time I’m leaving it after I finish the two objectives on the list unless I noticing anything glaring. If I don’t stop here I’m just going to end up keep updating this one figure instead of working on the next. So hopefully soon I can get to work on either a front/back view for him, or start work on the other characters I have to make for episode 1.

Flame is essentially done. All that’s left are his custom mouths and to recolor him (currently I’m just using saturation to fix his color, but I’ll implement the colors to avoid using effects soon).
So I think he should be done within a week or so, it’s going to be a pain recoloring him and making the mouths, but neither is hard.
I’ll make another post once he’s officially done, but yeah, I’m happy to say that he’s pretty much done.

Well, to find a decent animation reference you first need to consider what you’d like your own animations to be like. General references are also good, there’s a bunch on YouTube. For example
Also as I said above, you should figure out the style you’d like to do. From the more broad anime, cartoon, flash, etc. or to get more specific like a show or company’s way of animating. That you’d have to look into yourself, though for your character, try looking at how Ben 10 animated four arms (the older ones not the reboot).

Already an improvement, I’m glad you took my advice with trying it out. I think while you have that, you should then try to figure out where you would like your style to go. As in do you want it anime like, cartoon like, comic like, etc. The Nicky base is a good starting point but it’s best to move off it once you improve enough.
Additionally, while you have this decent figure you should try learning how to animate, and how to use the 2 extra arms. If they get too annoying to use either cut them, or make it a power that he can grow 2 extra arms, something along those lines.
Finally, I recommend trying to improve the design generally speaking, but I touched on that with my last post.
Overall, I’m looking forward to where you’re going with this. You have a good drive and just need time to experiment and start learning. Let me know if you’d like any further advice.
