As Squi said, “Literally don’t see what’s the wrong thing you did, this just seems like being normal”.
Of course you can always improve yourself. And some critiques I’ve seen are valid. For example, in the past you haven’t always gotten the joke. Of course being a newer user it’s understandable. I was the same way when I originally joined. It took me about 2 years to fully integrate into SN. Thankfully I had friends like Gigan and LuLu that helped me along the way, and I came out a better person. I cringe at my older self which is a good thing, seeing my growth and change. I wouldn’t approach situations or do certain things the same way as I did before. You’re in a better spot then I was in, you’re already realizing you can improve which is great. Granted at least from what I’ve seen you’re not toxic and just a normal user just fully not in the know with SN.
So overall I can really only recommend take some comments with a grain of salt (as in most of the time people are joking) and if some people aren’t being too kind, ignore it or don’t get involved. If things go too far that’s what Squi, Lemon, and I are here for. Lastly, make sure that if you do decide to make changes, you’re still you. Change for the good, while still remaining yourself.
I hope that helps you out.

I don’t do welcome messages as much as I used to. However seeing how kind you’ve been to a few others, I feel I should. Welcome to the site my friend. I’m excited to see where you go from here, good luck with your future career. If you need advice on anything just ask and I’m sure me or someone else can lend a hand or give you some advice.

I just meant I didn’t know if the image was sent at the highest quality. My internet was spotty at the time and I thought there was a chance the quality of the image got lowered to send.

I believe the artwork loaded properly, but if it somehow didn’t, I can email it to you @ralph .

With very little time left here is my entry. I’m still very new to art using Stick Nodes, so I’m sure with more experience I could of done better. Regardless, here it is.
In case the point isn’t clear, Humble Damien is hunting down a wealthy man for his money as Damien wants as much money as possible. For anyone who doesn’t know the Damien character, he is a music thief who somehow has gotten away with stealing multiple albums from indie artists. He has become the number 1 music artist this way. He has recently started NFT, art, and zoo animal stealing to further increase his cash flow.
Good luck to others who have entered. Lots of amazing artwork. This was a bit difficult to do in time due to my lack of experience in SN art, but it was fun nonetheless.
(I should mention, the wealthy character belongs to a friend of mine who has allowed me to borrow the design. I did make the figure, but it is his design. Additionally thank you Scout and other Flame for the advice with the lighting).

If you want any advice/critiques on any figures or animations you can make a post and @ me. I’ll take a gander and see where improvements can be made.

Good start with the walking animation. There’s clear places for improvement, but the current walking animation makes me believe you have the potential to greatly improve it.
Additionally, I’m guessing the attack scene isn’t finished, seems to me it’s just an animatic for now. There should be a few more frames included, as it’s missing a bit of what happened in certain scenes.
Overall, there’s clear places for improvement, but I think overtime you’ll be able to learn how to improve both things I mentioned. If you want more advice on anything in the animation just let me know. I can go more into depth about it.

Personally, I would recommend trying to add more detail to the clothing. That way it can stand apart from the original attire. Currently, it’s just lacking the “flames” (I believe they are flames, I don’t remember if they are, so forgive me if they aren’t). So a change of color, in addition to replacing the flames would be a good idea. Maybe do a water theme instead.
Still, I do recommend to newer users to not just use someone else’s style. From person experience, using Nicky’s base, and K-Zilla’s figures were a great reference for me. And helped my skill grow a lot. However, you hit a point where you stop growing and end up just using their style. Once I stopped learning from their figures, I was able to start my own independently. Using the knowledge from the references helped to build my own style. This of course doesn’t include outside help/advice, working on other art mediums, and research into anatomy and character design.
Overall, referencing Jack’s work is a good start, but don’t stick to it for too long. Or else your own style will end up just being the exact same as his. As you’ll use the same tricks, methods, and general techniques he uses.
Good luck with future work. I wish you the best.

I’m personally at 540 days of consistently logging on to Stick Nodes. I coincidently haven’t touched grass in that many days.
