Well, I don’t think I have heard an atheist say that verbatim we’re a pest, but I have heard atheists getting very annoyed and angry with Christians when they’re the type of Christian (or person in general) who continues to argue that they’re right (and vice-versa, of course). That’s where the name comes from.

I personally don’t believe that it’s “bad” persay to be an atheist, I just have the common Christian belief that atheists have an at least lower chance of going to heaven (I believe that some atheists do go to heaven,
just as some Christians do go to hell). Also, on the group’s name, “Pest” Control, I’m calling Christians, including myself, pests. The reason being that most Christians, including myself (hopefully not anymore), when they talk to atheists, keep pushing their own beliefs unto other people, which I hope I change; If not anyone else, change myself. -

You are correct, my ideology at the time was atheists see us as pests and we are all in one group so that we can contain the Christian stuff mostly inside the group for “control”. I also wanted a name that wasn’t obviously a Christian name.

This is way better worded than what I’d type. This is spot on, thank you!

Hey, guys (no, I’m not dead, lol)! Me posting anything is very uncommon for me, but I believe that this is important.
I’ve edited the description of my group “”Pest” Control” because before, it said: “We can brainstorm to find out more ways to win atheists over to Christ”. Since I typed that, my beliefs have changed slightly. I believe that, yes it is great to have atheists have a change of heart, our goal is to have more people up in heaven, but we shouldn’t be intentionally TRYING to change there religion (both because it seems a lot more fake that way, and it’s just not what anyone needs to do to another person). We need to be ourselves around them, have them see how we are as a person, how Christianity (even if they can’t identify it as that) affects us, and, if they want to, change. And we should never, ever, push them to change. I have made this mistake for years, and to all of the atheists that I have hurt by doing this, I’m so unbelievably sorry. Almost every time I have done an apology post or comment, I have always done the… “I’m sorry, but…”, “I apologize, but…”. Not this time, I’m done with that!
Thank you for your time, have a blessed and wonderful day!

I don’t know about the group but, basically in Christianity which is my religion.. Atheists do not go to heaven since they blaspheme.
I see that he is trying to change this, and i have no problem with it. although i don’t understand what he mean’s by “pest control.”
I respect atheists tho, don’t get me wrong.

I remember him naming the group that because it was made when epitaph and a lot of other popular users were around, most if which were athiest..?
Idk Epitaph seemed to despise religion though, maybe thats why.
