Actually, I think you can save this. I’ve had similar issues in the past with some figures but I’ve fixed it in a few ways.
For one, make the rounded segment into a segment for each moving node there. Then put a circle behind both nodes. That should make it still bend like rounded nodes, but and should allow you to work the outlining and scales you’re doing there better.
Additionally, where the outline goes over the body, it would help if you round it off, either with a half ellipse or a rounded segment overlapping another of a different color. It should help make the overlapping look more natural.
Seems difficult, but I think if you keep pushing a bit you can really make this work man. Looks awesome so far. Good luck if you change your mind.
