Spotlight Critiques
A group focused on reasonably criticizing the old and new animations featured in the spotlight and future animations brought onto the spotlight so no spotlight animations are thrown into the background and forgotten behind the new animations.
Rules
-If you are to vote for any animation that is your own, go ahead and vote, but vote on it as if you are looking at your old self and bringing up what you can improve on.
-Forcefully telling people everywhere to hate on an animation isn’t cool. Really, don’t be that guy just cause you want the top spot.
-Vote hard, be hard on the people who get spotlight, they already are ranked high having their animation presented in spotlight, so don’t be afraid to give a low rating on that stuff, that all is private anyway.
-Go ahead and give a statement of what you see on the animation, you can put your exact rating in or not on every category. Just don’t force yourself to make one, it’s not necessary.

Today we got something that looks promising as well as something which is not promising at all. They will balance themselves out I guess.
First up we got Tournament Of Fusions Collaboration by Unfunny Anime. Looks like more DBZ. Not much to expect from this.

It recieved one on Toxics well prized High 3/5’s so this one has got to be good. I think I read something somewhere in this comment section that it was lengthy. I haven’t see it yet but theres quite the comment section here. Don’t know how an argument can be created over a good rating.

Oh boy. Today is another one of those days. More DBZ.
First up we have Dragon Ball Nodes (Episode 1) by Black Animator. Yep. This guy again. Hopefully his ability to animate a series is much better than his ability to animate a simple fight. He might be like me in that matter. But I will just say that I am not looking forward to this one.

Lol. This is kinda where I feel I will enjoy messing around with 3D. Stuff is automatically interpolated and you don’t need to do the tedious frame by frame stuff. Instead you use keyframes. But yeah, that stuff was a lot of flash. But now with 1080p export, enhanced audio and filters in SN, the lines between flash will be blurred more and more as time goes on.

Today we are back to normal. Yes we got two series episodes, but they both aren’t too big. But we know the big one out of these two easily. Currently on page 8. We’re almost there and then there will be a list created of those spotlights that have not been rated enough to display a rating.

People that go to creating their own episode of DBZ either don’t know how to put together a story, or the forget about that entirely along with what makes DBZ so good. Really hoping this one shows up much stronger but my doubt is really strong with this one.

seriously, i know how time consuming and, not that it’s a “chore”, but it’s tough to give worthwhile comments and criticism to so many videos (trust me i know lol) its time consuming and requires a lot of thought as to not appear just “lol cool gj” on a vid someone spent weeks/months onso again to you and toxic (and everyone else doing a bit of voting/reviewing) – you are thanked

Also getting it’s own unique day today is CHAMPION. Episode 3 by Mici Animations. While this series kinds has been rough with a good and unique concept, I know Mici has potential. I believe what he will show here will be a big improvement. Can already tell he went more hardcore on the base. Wonder how his style of animation will fit that mighty Putin wide base. If Mici pulls off this Episode 3 well, I’m gonna start concluding that episode 3 for every series is an area of mass improvement. My Apocalypse series and Project Landfall show that. Maybe it’s just me. Really hope Mici hits this one right on the bar.

Today we would end up having two series episodes, but since both of these episodes are big parts to their series, I simply just find it wrong to put one over the other. Both are quite lengthy too. So I will just do one today, one tomorrow.
Today we have Apocalypse Part 8 – Conclusion by Explosive Bullet. I enjoyed making this one. It not only marked the end of a series of mine, it also marked the beginning of PL being 100 percent of my focus in order to create one amazing and unique series on SN. And put together an in depth world. I feel Apocalypse was my rough series. The story to me was lacking, the world didn’t feel too defined and the characters could have been a load more interesting. But I often forget that this really wasn’t bad. The story it had was simple, the entire series had loads of fighting and quite the history on my channel. It’s history goes way back to 2013-2014 I do believe. I honestly am glad with how it turned out in the end. Yeah there where a lot of problems in this series, but you learn from those problems.

You are a great storyteller.
Apocalypse deserves seasons but I dont wanna be the dudes who demand a season.
Made me lol at those people.

First up today is Encounter by ThisUnluckyCreator. I remember this. It was unique, nice and short. Will be an easy one to review.

People really seem to like this anime. Expectations are low for this though. It is already a red flag when it is named attack on titan exactly with the same designs and everything. Nothing added onto the name. But this could be suprising. Certainly won’t be unique.

gotta say, the people that do make AoT-inspired SN animations seem to always impress me
it’s a very tough niche to get right because of the acrobatic-like nature of the human’s movements wizzing around the titans but some people are just OP at SN and can handle it
this one in particular has some neat animation in it, i like

First up is Zvo Clan Spar | Cross (Ayyz) Vs Novo by Šupëŕ ňøvø. It looks like just another OC battle. But it’s short and sweet. We’ll see if it’s good.

Well today isn’t much special. I mean the break from the anime kinda starts here. The collab will be a blessing knowing how this clan does their collabs.
First up we got Goku vs Frieza by The Art Whiz. Another DBZ animation…. Hopefully it’s just short.

I’m afraid of these two spotlights today. Something just doesn’t seem right about them. It might just be that they ooz anime and anime tends to struggle on many areas.
First up we got Midoriya Vs Todoroki by MR ANKU RD. Now I already know I am not a fan of that art style, but the shading is sketchy. When you have shading like that you have to take into consideration how it would work in a figure. And when you can’t quite think of any ways of posing something like that it brings fear that something is traced and that the developer of the animation just traced anothers animation. Uh oh. I already got problems with this one which is the Last Warrior Season 3 E8 by Dark Saiyan. My problem with this dies down to the fact that it for one looks like an attempt to make a clone of DBZ, and 2 this has 3 seasons. For an SN series made by one animator surrounding what appears to be a concept most SN animators take on is concerning. You can only milk a cow so much and this I feel is gonna do well over that. But we’ll see.

First up is ESCAPE THE BARRAGE COLLAB by Gaby The Anim. I like guns, and this looks like it will be guns. We will see how good this is. Gaby is pretty cool after all.
