Regarding anchors:

I was wondering why tf nobody made Barotrauma sticks yet, but then realised sprite update will make it redundant.

Though @ralph while I think the current choosing anchor thing is neat, I’m starting to realise it would only work for minecraft skins lmfao. -

Yeah I feel that. I once came up with now-possibly-scrapped™ series and named it Forsaken Clouds, which name sounds dope as hell.
But the thing I’m working on right now which has more flesh and bones suddenly gives me unnecessary amount of issues because essentially it would be two different series, but with common characters and same world… Just different timeframe.
One being simple situation comedy type of thing, other going onto more serious tone.
Was thinking of going with smth like “Title: something something”. But figuring out how to have a common title that fits both, then sub-title that describes the main series can be a bit mind fucky lmao

Yeah my main struggle is after certain point the main character, cast and the general story would change but at that point I think I’m just making Boruto to Naruto kind of thing aka new series lmao

How the hell do you guys come up with titles for your series/stories.
I’ve had mine in the works for almost over a year now and still no idea how to name the damn thing.
-
It’s a group of people
So “The Posse” feels neat enough
-
usually i just named them after the main power system or something idk
-
I named “No One” after the program “No One Initiative”
“Karnaiah” is named after the main villain of the series. -
Usually pick someone or something that is important, it may change but I’m still probably going to call mine “Legends of Grodot” as most of it happens on said planet
Even something as simple as a main characters name could be good

literally whatever is in my mind
-
it’s really hard honestly, i don’t even like mine all that much but it’s the general gist of the series without going into detail so it definitely works.
if i had any tips? Think of general ideas/locations that your characters are usually put in. What’s the common theme of the overarching story? If there isn’t one, what ties these characters together? Stuff like that, simple questions, can lead you to a somewhat solid answer, maybe a few google searches of rhyming words and boom, you have yourself a solid name that works and intrigues your audience.
-
I look at a bunch of related Latin words, and if I can’t find any good ones then I end up with titles such as “Dodo Lord” that take an immense amount of time, thought, and effort to think of.

i take a shot of heroin and a bit of lsd and slam my head into a brick wall and i either come up with a name or get knocked out
-
Nonsense: Legit couldnt come up with anything so i named it that. it works because its not really a series, just a compilation of random adventures.
Breakthrough: IG named it but it works because with each breakthrough the story keeps going
Sometimes you just need to go simple, that’s usually the best. Or you could just make it the name of the main character, like SpongeBob SquarePants, Garfield, Steven Universe, Andor, all the greats have it.
If you need help tho id be happy to assist

I have weird luck with making names for my projects.
For some names like Corrupted and Humble Damien, I came up with them relatively quickly. Corrupted in the series is how people get their powers, so I just went with that. And with Humble Damien, I wanted it to be a antonym. Humble being how he wants people to see him but the opposite of how he acts, and Damien being the name of a Antagonistic wrestler (I happened to meet that wrestler as well).
Thought I’ve had issues with names as well. My first card game I still struggle to have a name for and yet I’ve been working on it for 4x as long as Corrupted.
So at least for me, I try to use a part of the project as the name, or have it relate to the character in some way.
Naming can honestly be one of the easiest things to do, or one of the hardest to do for a project. Mainly because of how important it can be. Having a good name can make a lot more people become interested, or turn a lot of people away. Good luck with the projects name.

I came up with the Nodium while working on the SNU.
Originally the Nodium was a concept like space-time which I would use for the Stick Nodes Universe. The name however also fits a series about nodes vs anti-nodes.
Maybe you’ll come across it accidentally.
Anyways here are some galaxies

Regarding anchors:

So can we like custom place anchors or ?
with sprites the origin (main node) can be placed anywhere and moved during animation
this helps with joining shits to shits
Fuck you
Fuck you
flexing with the sprite update i see
also what (about the anchors issue)
also changes have been made to that since last time, including the ability to make the origin go outside the sprite and also much more robust and accurate scaling/rotating methods
Oh right forgor origin can be shifted now whoops
yeah i should send you it soon i’m just trying to figure out best way to toggle between the two scale modes (with respect to the origin, and then more of a freeform one) and just basic convenient use UX stuff (tapping a sprite image should select it (not just the main node being tapped) for example)
it’s fun!
While I understand tapping the image and shits, I have a hunch it’s gonna be ui clutter as hell.
how do you guys get anything done without having brainfarts and fucking collapsing
the sprite update has been in development for like 8 months
what do you think was happening during that period
exactly what i said
perhaps
