But extreme intelligence is also required, which Xenomorphs are not on the level of Kryptonians/Viltrumites

Predators and even aliens could be a pushover. I don’t know all of these but Kryptonians and Viltrumites are humanoid, making them far more dangerous… not only can they bring advanced weaponry, they are also superpowered and extremely durable. Predators can die fairly easily compared to them.

Well, you need to specify. What kind of invasion? Enslave? Kill? Get material and get out of there? The answer depends on that

The red can also be recolored if you want to make a Praetorian shield or something else. And yes, that’s how the back looked. Must have been such a burden to carry.

The Roman Scutum was largely deployed by the Legionary and (In my opinion) the reason that the empire thrived so much via the military. Unparalleled by other shields or weapons of its time, the Scutum was much more than just a large slab of wood and bronze. It was a moving wall, fortified by dozens of impenetrable soldiers. It was a bludgeon, with the edge effective for catching enemies off-guard and as a last resort. It was an imposing fortress, with barbarians hacking at the scutum with no effect, only to be run through by the Legionary.
Please enjoy the Front, Side, and Back views of the Scutum Shield.
