I already knew about branch.
What you forgot was the ‘thousands of figs’ part. I don’t wanna have to mess with ALL of them when a sinple fix could accomplish it -

Yeah, then it vanished again and wasn’t seen since

Lol, finally get the update and the first thing i do is complain.
@ralph
Basically, I’m informing on how Smart-Stretch needs a tinsy tiny little rework. Basically, all nodes should automatically be smart Stretchable and instead it should take manual use to make them NOT stretchy, the opposite of the current system.Do you have any idea how irritating it is to seive through over 1000 figs, most with 300+ nodes, having to set every damn static node to stretchy. I don’t want that, nobody does.
So, simply, i HIGHLY advise you make it so Smart-Stretch was a little… S m a r t e r
-
I’m listening to a lot of feedback with smart stretch to possibly make it better, glad to see people already making cool things with it so it’s not a complete disaster lmao
for reasons that I really can’t explain well let alone here in quick comment, smart stretch and dynamic nodes don’t play nice
however, and idk if you’ve realized this, what you described is easily doable quickly
select hand
modify branch > static/stretchy (all children nodes made static/stretchy)
re-make the hand non-static, and make it smart-stretch as well
done
however, you may have to mess with how you built some nodes esp with your complex figs, I’m sure you’ll understand as you play with it

trying to think of a good compromise to not bork things
so you want s-s to affect all child static nodes, don’t have to be set to stretchy?
this might be doable, but I might have to introduce a new checkbox (and i don’t want to do that) to kinda say ‘yo, stop the smart stretch stuff here’ (right now, making a child node “not-stretchy” would do that)

not sure if there’s even an actual use case for saying ‘yo stop the smart stretch here’ that isn’t just a new branch/limb (aka separated by a new dynamic node) so it might not even be something I need to worry about, but I can’t be certain, ya’ll been pushing SN to limits I never thought of before lol

Lol, had to change it cause it wouldn’t fit
Lol at half of the name missing
one thing I hate nowadays is the new push for everyone to stop saying merry Christmas and start saying happy holidays…like really?
firstly, (this is coming from my Christian side) I absolutely think it is a travesty to get rid of the Christ in Christmas because technically it is when he was born….
secondly, even if you dont believe God I dont see why they should stop saying merry Christmas, there is no reason to get rid of it whatsoever other then the fact people dont like to hear about Christ in anything…
anyways this was not directed towards you at all the name just reminded me of the topic, also im curious to see who agrees
i heavily agree with this one!
