Thanks for bringing that up actually. I was relooking at the arms when you said that and I think I just forgot to size up the arms. I haven’t saved them to the correct sizes directly on the figures yet and I must have just used the wrong size.

This should be the working size, 1.40, but 1.45 also fits well.

Flame-V6 is technically finished now.
This means that I can use him in my series or for animations, though there’s still a bit more I’d like to work on and fix.
An end of August finish is still seeming decently possible, as I don’t have that much left. Though we shall see.
Anyway, I’d also like to thank everyone’s who has given me advice, help, or just generally encouraged me during this. It means a whole lot to me that you’ve taken the time out of your day to help me out. This has been a fun journey and I feel that I’ve finally found my figure style.
(The evolution image below is slightly out of date with Flame-V6).

Flame-V6 is nearing completion. His legs are almost done. Just have to finish the boots, and add some wrinkles. For the back view I’ll just be removing some things, darkening it, new wrinkles, etc.
After that’s all done, I’ll go back in and fix some bigger issues I’ve noticed. Plus possibly redo the hair entirely since everything else is custom made except for that as Scout made it for V5 (the shades also used V5s a base to save time, but I actually added to that, though I may remake it too).
Anyway, he clocks in at 2,752 nodes at the moment. Both legs are at ~391 currently but I expect to lower it. Most of that comes from the zippers and chain. So as long as I don’t add anything major, this should stay under 3,000 nodes thankfully.
I may just be able to make this before August ends, seems a lot more realistic now. Take that old man @ralph

I’ve only done one or two animations with double framing, so I can’t give you a whole lot of advice.
But from what I’ve picked up, on some rare occasions in a scene, at least for me with was worth making one frame, not doubled. I only did that for maybe 2 frames for an entire animation.
Milky’s sent it here before but this while not exactly telling you how to do it, explains the upsides of double frame animation and was a good help for me. https://youtu.be/BBoVomEOKbc

@littleman Hey (Little)man,
It’s been quite a while, over 3 years since the gang and I last spoke with you. I know you’re likely not going to see this, possibly ever. But figured I’d reach out to you regardless. Only way any of us can is through here.
Anyway, just wanted to say on behalf of everyone we all miss you man. You were one of my very first friends here on the site, I believe it’s getting close to 5 years since we first met which is wild to think about. It was always such a blast to log on and get into some tomfoolery with you.
Sucks that you’re no longer on the site, for whatever reasons you may have. But I look forward to your return, and to show you how all of have improved in the 3 years you’ve been gone. I’m sure you’ll be amazed, just like I’ve been seeing things in real time.
Whenever you hopefully see this, have a great one. See ya pal.

@blackanimator just as a heads up, you can combine your YT links and they will all be embedded. A few were flagged due to the amount of posts. Just a heads up for next time is all.

I do think that modern may be easiest for both development and for playing the game as you’ve mentioned.
What’s the current plan for this game by the way?

I’m surprised I’m not on the corrupted layer when that’s the name of my series.

We really should go about making a proper SN tier list, at least for the site. The current ones we have are pretty outdated, and there’s already couple of SN YouTuber tier lists.

It looks awesome, seriously a nice quality jump from V5 but I can’t help but point out the arm length, it just feels surreal y’know, it’s not too bad though and some people do just have short arms so I guess it’s not that big of a deal.
Thanks for bringing that up actually. I was relooking at the arms when you said that and I think I just forgot to size up the arms. I haven’t saved them to the correct sizes directly on the figures yet and I must have just used the wrong size.

just in time to start v7
now pixelate him and see what happens lmao
I’ve tried and the results have been iffy. I’ll have to keep trying it out to see if I can improve it. I know Gigan had better results with Alisdair, I think mainly since he doesn’t outline his figures while I do.
lol that’s not bad actually
looks like it was drawn in MS Paint
there’s really no right or wrong its just an interesting filter to apply to random things just to see the outcome
like im curious what full-on minecraft mode would be like (larger pixels)
anyway tho, this was quite a project and im sad to see it end
i will miss the weekly updates
i need to come up with a new update now which will push you to make a v7
It’s not too bad, though I was hoping gif it to be a bit more similar to the Street Fighter 2/3 style. Though if I keep playing around with it I’m sure it’s possible.
Sadly yes, there’s only going to be a 2-3 more updates before this is all finally wrapped up.
Thankfully I won’t be remaking Flame again for the series, however yeah if another update comes along that peaks my interest I may take another crack at things.
I appreciate your interest in it and look forward to the final result.
