Just finished the figure a few minutes ago. So far everything that was planned has been completed.
The body is 4 figures, and is overall 547 nodes. Combined with the old head, and new hair + shades is 1.1K nodes. Flame V5 is 1.6K nodes for reference. If Flame’s 4 limbs end up being max, (assuming I don’t end up splitting them for even more detail or layering), the figure will end up being around 2.7K nodes overall. I would rather that not be the case, but hitting 2K nodes seems likely. It will not be fun animating for sure.
However, I really like how this came out. It’s very similar to the reference drawing I made before hand.
As always, if anyone has any ideas on things to fix or change let me know. I likely won’t implement them until I finish everything else first. I plan to loop back around once I finish the figure overall and do any fixes I noticed or had recommend.
For scale, both figures were set to 2.00. So Flame V6 is at least 2x larger then V5. At the time I thought V5 was big, but man, V6 dwarfs it.

In case you want to see the figure with the head, shades, and mohawk attached. The head I’m using for this is outdated and I’ll use the updated version soon.

More progress made on Flame’s body. So far it’s 3 figures. The body, the waist collar, and the trapezius. The figure is at max nodes but I still hope to salvage some nodes to shade the neck collar. If I can’t, I may just make the collar it’s own figure too.
Regardless, it’s right at the end unless there’s any big changes.
So the current agenda for it is
-Make the pants
-Shade the collar
-Fix layering issues
-Cut down on nodes usedAfter that (plus any recommend changes if they’re are anything), it’s done. I’ll then make the reverse view (swap the pants collar), then start the arms.

Update on Flame-V6’s Body. I’m not sure when the last time I posted about this, so I’ll just recap all the recent changes. I made the chest smaller, added in the back muscle to the chest, updated the neck (no longer a rounded segment after 5+ versions), shaded the abs and traps, and fixed a lot of layering issues.
What still remains is to add in the back muscles, add the collar onto the figure (it will no longer be it’s own figure), add the waist collar, and make the pants. In addition to basic fixes like layering and shading.
Overall, progress is going well. I took week+ break from Flame but just got back into things yesterday. Blame the beta sprite update messing up my project file for a while (thanks Ralph).
Anyway, so far I’m pretty happy with it. There’s still some things I may fix, but overall it’s what I was hoping for.

Thanks Manny. I made the physical version of this art a month or so ago and just never posted it. This one is just a poor trace of what I made previously mentioned.

I believe you were actually the person all those years ago who told me how to fix the hair and face.
Thank you by the way. I’m really grateful for everyone’s help with this version of Flame. I’m excited to finish him and eventually make all the characters for the show. Should be awesome in the end.

You could always just go with a lower res version for animating to save details and then use the higher detail one for more high quality scenes and animating in 2’s and 3’s should you choose to.
I could probably remove the shading and lighting for a lower res version.
Though a friend gave me an idea a while ago to animate it like an animatic of shorts. Then again, animating on 2’s and 3’s would be a good compromise of such.
I’ll have to see if it’s needed however. My phone is pretty new and hasn’t had much issues handling large projects. Worse case scenario I’ll likely have to make the low res version you’ve recommend. As always thanks Lemon.
Of course man, anytime
