You should really do a stop motion with them at some point with a collection like that (if you haven’t already).

The sentry on the side is also pretty cool. I wonder if they make full-size ones like the tanks in the back.

    Overall, very awesome collection man.

This essentially. When the eyebrow moves the polyfill follows to act as a short of eyelid. I just explained what I meant horribly, my mistake.

  • Another small update to V6 Flame. I added more color to Flame’s face, a step into the direction that Lemon recommend. I’m not sure how much more can be added so far, but it’s still something I’m researching/trying out.

Additionally, I made his eye and further fixed some layering. Last to come will be his scars and ear, which shouldn’t be too hard. Additionally, I would like to make it so that his eye can close like in V4.

In V5 it got cut because of the mask. I wanted the eyebrow to go over the eye, and with it would be the polyfil which would close the eye behind it. However with the mask the polyfil would of had to have been black or green. This caused neither to fit as it would overlap the wrong color if the eyebrow was moved in the wrong spot. Essentially, not worth doing at the time since the figure was already pretty old in development. Now however I will try to figure out a way to make the eye close without removing the mask.

I may change the pupil since it’s pretty hard to see from a distance. But for now like the other fixes/possible changes planned, I’ll save it for the end.

Thanks for the advice lemon, I appreciate you taking the time to do so. Any references or examples of what you’re mentioning just so that I’ll have something to study. Additionally, node space willing, I’ll defiantly try it if it seems doable.

I’m trying to make this rendition as good as possible while still keeping it semi quick. I’m just about ready to start everything else with the series so nows the best time to go all out and see what takes too much time, and what fits.

    As requested, @tastylemon16

Minor update today, just the mask and eyebrow plus some small adjustments. Now all that’s left is the eye, ear, and scars for the head figure, then I move on the the glasses and hair.

So far I’m really liking it, it’s growing on me more and more. The mask alone looks pretty weird but I hope that adding everything on top will fix that. If not I’ll have to go back in and fix that.

I’m also trying to add touches of line thickness to help with the drawn effect so I think that’s something I’ll keep trying to work on. Though I will need to keep trying to improve going forward.

    • This is sort of a next level enhancement and by no means is it easily doable but on top of the shadows you can additionally add some gradients to show more contours and shaping of the face, for the mask it might be what it needs to differentiate itself from the face.

Overall for what you’ve got though it’s awesome, absolutely killing it with this rendition

I think this is the very first time I ever made it onto the daily site log. Very nice for it to be Flame.

I’ll try doing that on the new figure. I do think that you’re right though, the downward angle should help making it look more natural.

I’ll post both variants once it’s made.

  • I’m continuing the yearly tradition of remaking Flame.

I only started this version of V6 yesterday so it’s nothing too impressive yet. Plan is to finish the head, then move to the body and so forth. I’m hoping that I can make this figure in a relatively fast manner so that my following figures can keep to this level of detail unlike V5. (V6 on the left, V5 on the right).

So far the style is evolving to look more drawn with the outlines being very thin, and have the shading look like cell shading (at least to a degree).

Here’s what’s been done so far. If you have any critiques or ideas let me know. I’m hopeful I can have it so that this version is the one to use for the Corrupted series, in addition to any games I have planned.

(So far I plan to extend the bottom part of the chin forward. In addition to finishing the jawline. Also for reference, so far the figure is 104 nodes).

  • Replying to comment by: Kingston πŸ’štoday. Goodbye, Stick Nodes Hello Stick Nodes, this

    Hey King.

It truly does suck to see you go. You were a good friend of mine and I will dearly miss seeing you around and talking with you. We had a good couple of years. And even though you may be leaving, none of us will forget the good times we had with you.

Of course we had our disagreements at the beginning, but it was all worth it for this. I’m happy that you actually took the advice given to you, and made a change. Not everyone can do that. It shows how good your character really is. And now you’re a respected member of our community. Very few people can do what you did, and I hope that it leads other users to follow in your footsteps.

Though of course that’s not all you did. More importantly you made a great OC and kept trying to improve your work. It was always a blast for me to log on and see what you had posted that day.

Additionally, I appreciate your kind words man. You did a great job with the message, and we are all thankful for you putting in the effort to do all of this. Furthermore, thank you for the praises with Flame. I’m currently working on another version of him and that is giving me a lot of inspiration to finish it.

If you can, I would love to hear updates on how you’re doing going forward every few years (assuming you can do so. If not, that’s even more reason to cherish the time we had together).

Anyway, have a great one King. I wish you the best of luck in the future. We all love you man, see ya.
