Also found out here’s a way to still play online with the DS, so that’s neat

Been messing around with the DS Lite I got and I love it so far
I ended up buying a r4 card for games and a new DS Lite. That way my brother and I can each have our own
Used my modded Wii to download DS demos from the Nintendo channel, needed Riiconnect24 but luckily I already had that installed.
