Manny’s Boring Story Time

I went to the fair today and it was pretty wild

We went on a lot of rides, one of which was a hang glider one where you were in your stomach, and my brother decided to go on. He was terrified and praying to god to stop the ride and screaming “YOU NEED TO STOP THE RIDE”. Decided to take this chance to be a little silly willy and I pretended to be ousting him off the ride by nudging him. This terrified him and he started shrieking. When we got off, I noticed it made me motion sick because I was on my stomach and that made me feel sick with the ride.

Next ride, I go on this thing where you’re in a cage and it flips you 360 degrees. I was in with my sister, and while she was being utterly terrified, I was just enjoying the ride when I noticed that I felt like I was going to throw up. I said “Oh god I’m going to throw up”, and my sister was saying “no. No. NO!!!!!!”. Then I threw up as she’s screaming to get out. When we got out, the ride conducted took a little wet wipe and gently wiped SOME (not all) of the places where I threw up, and the people who were replacing me on the ride had to watch in horror as they realized they had to sit where I threw up, WHILE THERE WAS STILL SOME IN THE RIDE. Not my proudest moment not going to lie, I felt like lost my dignity.

I made it up to my sister though. We went to a carnival game where you had to squirt the hole with a water gun and whoever got the most water in won. Before it started I made sure to aim it precisely at the water hole, using the nail as a site. I won, and they allowed me to pick a prize. My sister wanted a pink elephant as her prize is she were to have won, so I decided to pick that out and give it to her to make it up to her with the ride fiasco (and to buy her silence).

Then we went to another game where you had to shoot out a star on a piece of paper with a BB gun with limited ammo. My aunt paid for me to try and I got super close, so she let me have 2 more turns. I found it a bit expensive since it was $10 per turn, but hey, I wasn’t paying.

On the very last turn I found out the trick to aim well, put the BB gun stock on your shoulder and tilt the gun to have the sight right in your eye, so the BB’s go exactly where you’re looking. Learned it at the end though so I ran out of ammo. My brother was standing by while I was shooting in one of my turns, and the BB RICOCHETED OFF THE WALL into his eye. Just like in “A Christmas Story”, except I’m the one who shot his eye!

Then we got to eating, I have a pizza slice and 4 mini churros (they reminded me if these things they used to sell in a box called “Churro Bites”, they were mini churros that tasted so good and heated up quickly, they stopped selling them I guess since we can’t find them anywhere anymore, I miss them). While I was minding my business eating, a yellow jacket decided to start flying near us. I was trying to ignore it, but then it got super close to my face. I’m very afraid of hornets so I let out a blood curdling shriek higher pitched than that if a little girl’s. Everyone near started staring at me

After that we went to the petting zoo where we were able to feed the animals carrot slices if we paid for a cup of them, we each got one cup. I feed most of mine to a kangaroo there upon learning that they eat by grabbing the food with their hands and taking tiny bites out of it. It was adorable, ADORABLE

We also got to hold Guinea pigs in another place

And thus ends my story.
