What resources did you start learning code? Do you recommend any resources to a beginner? I’m thinking about learning python, unless you have a recommendation of where to start learning
I want to learn but I’m having difficulty finding where to start

Don’t get why he isn’t releasing it today when the hype is there though

Not VinceTheAnimator here but python is a good language to start learning code
It’s easy, powerfull, a bit slow compared to other but it’s overall good and since you’re forced to have a clean code for it to work, it gives good reflexes for when you switch to something like C that doesn’t requires indentations.
Thank you
Yeah but your Vincent which is close enough
woah what’s up VinceTheAnimator!!!
I like how there’s 3 coders in the SN community who are some variation of V__ce__

My absolute first exposure to coding was on codecademy.com. I’m not sure how it is nowadays, but back then it was a good way for me to get my feet wet.
Another significant phase of my learning was on SoloLearn app. It was super convenient for me, so it helped expose me to a lot of new concepts.
But by far I started learning the most after I started coding Discord bots and showing them to my friends. I think the fact that I had something that I could easily show progress for and get positive feedback on really kept me motivated.
I started immersing myself most when I was researching things that I could either apply to my Discord bots or that would help me make something else that I can show to my friends.
I think the point I’m getting at is that in my opinion, courses, videos, books, etc are only a quarter of the equation. What’s most important is that you think of some projects that excite you to work on. If you can find that, then you’ll be hooked. I can almost guarantee it.
But yeah, I think Python is a great choice for a first language. I started with JavaScript, but in hindsight, Python probably is a better first language.
Just remember that A LOT of what you learn in Python is universal to ALL programming languages, so learning another language will be easier than learning your first if you ever want to branch out in the future.
TL;DR
codeacademy and/or sololearn are good places to get your feet wet. Start working on your own project ASAP (immediately after learning basic syntax). Keep the scope of your first project small and don’t give up if you don’t know how to finish it!
Good luck o7

It summarizes everything perfectly. Also watch Fireship in general. His content is awesome.
