Edit them, copy the front arm segment and it’s children, delete the arm until only the connecter is shown (and make it static if you want) create a new Stickfigure, paste the arm, leave creation mode, join the arm figure to the Stickfigure without the arm and push it to the front, and then when making them hold items, layer it so the front arm covers it but the weapon is still in front of the rest of the body

That is how you could make it so the weapons aren’t in front of the front arm and it could properly hold things
