I have made the collar for the most part.
Came out nicely, I may need to delete some buttons, utilise shapes better to fill in the gaps and expand the shading so when zoomed out you can see enough of the detail.
I will also need to do the top shirt part and add the line to show where the buttons would go.
I’m open to suggestions..

For a long while I’ve been focused on anatomy first, then clothing but I thought this time I’d work with a simple design roughly covering anatomy and jump to clothing.
I’ve made the neck so far and it’s came out nicely, next is the collar then the buttons and shirt creases.
So far so good

The head would be added so the upper flexors in the neck wouldn’t be seen plus they’re non-existent as far as I know with anatomy because it’d just be a head.

Practice drawing creases and use reference material.
Usually if you draw it and keep trying you can begin to piece together how to make creases and clothing more realistic.

How exactly do you make pixel figs smart stretchable, cuz like when I stretch them up all the pixels have a gap

Hard to explain but what I did here was make a movable piece as normal which would roughly cover the shape of the bucket.
Then I went ahead and begun to place said pixels
I aimed to keep in rows so it’s all straight, make sure whichever direction you’re smart-stretching you make sure the pixels are in that direction so in this case up and down I had done.
Then I enabled smart-stretch for the main movable node and used ‘ Modify Branch ‘ to enable stretchy on all the nodes so smart-stretch would work.
Maybe you went wrong on the last step.

and also suggestion for when you make more blocks make a non movable node right where the top of the top left pixel is and another one and the bottom right the space of a pixel away and start the main node at the bottom left so its easy to put the blocks next to each other, like this

Not a bad idea but even then using multiple blocks takes up lots of nodes so there isn’t much point.
It helps but the frame node limit will be reached in due time.

Took a break from working on Handsome Man remake.
Quite difficult to work with the proportions well so I went simpler and have been working on Milky.
Progress so far, might be tricky to see the body shape properly but that’s fine as she’d be wearing clothes, obviously.

Hard to get right, it kind of looks quite thin and built but I think that’s just because of the implemented subtle anatomical changes.

I don’t want or need to, the point of a remake is that someone else has done it and it is their style, if I change something like the arm length which is something consistent in voltage’s style then it’s ruining the purpose and even then it doesn’t matter.
When I get around to creating the character myself I know how to correctly proportion parts.
I get what you’re saying but it’s just not necessary or important.

I had plans to re-make Milky and also Sam Cash, Maawoz’s OC.

Id recommend making the face thinner, I know he is supposed to be a lemon but it would make a lot of sense with the rest of the body considering you’re going for an anime realistic approach
also change the tint of the shade, like going from yellow to dark orange, you can make the palette by using a node with gradients, youll get the transition from one color to the other in the right shading
