You should stairs against the walls and use techniques like that to add depth to your build.
Also varying block variation when creating different effects and help drastically such as for a wooden floor use:
-Dark oak
-Stripped Spruce Log
-Spruce logOr if creating a brick effect:
-Terracotta
-Bricks
-Red concreteThis sort of variations can make a build that looks meh to amazing.
Nonetheless this is a really cool build.
