So, it’s kinda like the hammer looking thing in assault rifles but only for reloading
Well. The charging handle is what opens the chamber of the gun. When it’s pulled back the chamber cover is opened and a bullet will slide into the chamber to be fired. Once this action is performed once, it doesn’t have to be performed again until the magazine is emptied.
