I’ve been on this site for the better part of over 5 years by now, in differing levels of activity (due to reasons like lack of anything to post, more activity on discord etc) although I’ve logged in and checked the site both for new figs and activity almost daily. Even then having spent probably over a quarter of my life as a (very unnoticed, small and insignificant) part of this site and larger in the community I really fail to grasp the full picture of drama on this site and community and why people seem to just leave an online community as if it’s leaving a longtime meaningful workplace (when you really could just log in periodically to check in or even chat for no cost tbh) and how so much vile shit happens over on a site dedicated to host a community for a cute little stick animation app.
Tl;dr this community wack, I don’t get how and why people seem to quit and leave something so seemingly minor with such a seemingly large personal significance when you can just check every once in a while and how this seemingly nice little community devolved with so much horrible shit happening in the past 5 or so years I’ve been here
