Dad’s currently giving a lecture to my siblings how masks are ineffective and actually cause sickness, the vaccine is fake and wasn’t “researched enough” so therefore it’s going to hurt you if you get it (luckily this is the only vaccine he believes is “fake”, I’m still fully vaccinated on everything else) and how Covid can be cured by a selection of pills he saw on the internet. He also recently gave one on how the election was rigged. He also thought that Covid might’ve been a bio weapon released by some guy.

This is getting annoying, he basically just thinks everything on the news is fake and only the very sketchy articles he reads are the truth, he’s the embodiment of confirmation bias. And I used to believe this stuff too before I gained common sense. Can’t argue with him though or else he says “do your own research” even though he’s the one making these bullshit claims, so I continue to get these 30 minutes lectures. Though he seemed to be giving them to me specifically less, I started to argue with him on some stuff so I guess he just decided to stop since he doesn’t want to argue.
